Is there a firewall out there that supports virtualized independent firewalls other than a Cisco ASA? I don't mind if it's a closed source firewall and costs money. I just need other options if they exist.

It's not that the Cisco ASA costs that much, but the multiple context license is expensive.

(I am aware I could just virtualize a boatload of monowall or pfSense installations. I'm looking for integrated solutions that don't involve VMware. Firewalls on VMware can cause havoc on jitter and latency)

I think I ninja-edited before your reply. I'm looking for something that doesn't use VMware. By definition, I could use VMware for any firewall, but that's not the same.

Well, yes there are, but they are all about the same cost (if not more expensive) than the ASA.

Checkpoint and Palo Alto have them, and i'm thinking Juniper should also over virtualized firewalls.

I didn't know Checkpoint offered that... and I've heard of Palo Alto networks so I'll check them out too. Thanks.
