Hey guys, saw a few posts / threads about League of Legends and HoN. I am an avid LoL'r myself and am level 30 with the correct runebook(s) and skills to play various champions at mid/high elo. Was wondering what the username of other LoL players are. Maybe we can play together. I premade often with friends (one of which whom recommended me to these forums) and usually win when playing in groups of skilled players (especially those with vent / mic).

If you are interested in playing together, feel free to add me to friends in game (and on the forums).

Congalong, I play quite often and I'm probably considered high/mid ELO. I also have a Vent if any H users are interested.
 
I just signed up with my wife. We're brand new to LoL and never played Dota. I'm looking for friends to play with, and would like to play if you can tolerate a noob.
 
I'll need to create a smurf to play with ya J Macker, else you guys will get bumped to my ELO level :p

Lvl 24 and probably considered low ELO, think I am at ~120 wins ~95 losses?

I've been playing with a friend who's level 30 now (I was only 13) and I kept getting slaughtered. The matchmaking still stinks when you choose "arranged team".

However, when I go solo it pairs me up with other similar level players and it works out okay.
Last night I played Teemo and had 17-0-8, and their total team kills were less than 10. Pure ownage. Captain Teemo! Hup! 2, 3, 4 !!
 
I played a lot of LoL, but have not touched the game in about 2-3 months. I have been toying with the idea of getting back into it soon.
 
I'm playing LoL alot but there are some massive imbalances.

Worst though is getting in both a 5 man with 2x 12 year olds and 2x ragers - sit and watch the fireworks.

They really need a leaver system as well.
 
Does the HoN leaver system work for those who are just AFK?
Too many times do I just see somebody in game and their char just sits there.

if they go AFK and do not gain XP for 5min they are kicked, get a leave and recieve -PSR

The report player feature is about to be launched and AFK'ers is one thing they want to remove

They do this because they average your team's ELO. So basically that means good players can't really play with "noob" friends because the ELO would be averaged giving them an inflated ELO :( That'd be the only flaw of MM in LoL that I'd see. Hence why I have smurf accounts to play with friends who are worse than I am.

It is fun but its playstyle is different to dota and HoN
You should try HoN this weekend it is one of S2's free2play weekends
 
you really owe it to yourself to sink 20 hours into HoN during the free weekend. Also play through the tutorial.

I was a 1450 player but now i'm 1670 and win 60+% of the time when matches are usually 50/50 (based on elo). My friends are terrible but I try to micro manage them using the voip lol.

I tried LoL and puked in my mouth.....
 
They both have their differences, but it'd be nice for this thread to not turn into another one of the LoL vs. HoN threads...

My ELO is aweful because I've been training friends who have never played DotA, and didn't have many games in myself :)

I played HoN for a while during beta. It was fun, but the replicating of all the dota heroes and items makes it a bit too much like dota. I pretty much rather play dota, so that's what I've been doing.

LoL has enough different that it's pretty refreshing, so far.
 
My friend got me playing this when the SC2 beta went down. Been playing a lot more this last week now. How do you figure your ELO? I've got more losses in matches than wins, but the 2 heroes I've been using (Tristana and Ryze) have a positive kill/death ratio on both of them.

Haha I just start playing today while I was waiting for the SC2 beta to come up and I really like the game.
