E3 2010

^That all depends if Nintendo releases a Princess Peach fashion simulator game for the 3DS.

This 3DS is going to be hard to beat at this E3 as far as innovation goes.

Whether or not you like everything they showed, Nintendo really delivered with their conference.

It was a great showing (especailly with the girls at the end :D) but they still fail in my book and those Zelda controls were horrible. Are we ever going to see a new IP Nintendo? I can only play the same game so many times, 3D or not...

Really? No price drop. No Wii-HD. Zelda looked meh..Kirby was ok, donkey kong country looked good. Other than that, I call shens. Seemed like a bunch of shovelware to me.

The 3DS was all they needed to show, in my opinion.

I can hear the cash registers ringing up those millions of sales already.

The nintendo thing was a just as dull as the MS one but twice as camp. Interesting how he fucked up playing Zelda. Most of his moves didnt register in game.

The 3DS look cool. Pretty much the only thing that sparks my interest. Love my DS and will probably pick up a 3DS when it comes out too. I really wish they'd stop that stupid ass 3D advert bollocks where stuff jumps out the screen. May work in cinema's but not on a 3" screen. Its more like looking through the letterbox of a tardis.

The rest of the stuff though was been there done that. Just like the MS conference.

Lets see what Sony can pull out their ass in a hour or so.

Seeing the footage of Zelda screams that Nintendo needs an Wii HD, it honestly looked like a cheap 3rd party gamecube game.

I know gameplay is important but if the game looks like ass it's going to remove you from the experience I think.

Sony's up next......

It really did look like they had some interference issues going on during the zelda demo though. the cursor kept moving to the left by itself.

I'm sure it'll work as well as Wii Sports Resort. If you are happy with that, then great, if not, then not so great.

E3 keynotes so far have been lackluster overall so far. Ubisoft's yesterday was the lowest of the low.

the 3ds will sell bucket loads, i was quite impressed with it but the rest was complete shit, ill get donkey kong on the wii emulator i think.
heres hoping sony give us all a good wow factor

A new TM in the vein of Black/done by Jaffe would literally make me poop myself.
TM is one franchise I cannot believe they have not released for the Ps3 yet.

I'd love to see Uncharted 3 and maybe some new Jenova Chen or Pixeljunk stuff (I know Shooter 2 is in development), but a sequel to TM:Black, man....

Reggie Fils-Aime admitted that the new Zelda demo they showed off had glitches in it and that they were sorely disappointed. So was I, unfortunately. None of the Wii games that they showed off really made a good impression on me save for maybe Donkey Kong. I was pretty stoked for the new Zelda title, but after seeing it, I'm not so sure anymore. I've always been an advocate of "good graphics =/= good games", but this is ridiculous. How can they come out with something that looks WORSE than Twilight Princess, which came out on the Wii years ago (and was DESIGNED for Gamecube)?!

The 3DS is very neat though, and that alone will be Nintendo's cash cow this holiday season. I can already see myself picking up one; I've been missing some handheld gaming in my life ever since I sold my DS Lite two years ago. Big mistake. Kid Icarus? That game looks GREAT!

Nintendo has won E3 for me. Watching Sony is a bit painful. They're just trying so hard to push Move and it's no more impressive than the Wii.

Now that the Move price is out we should see MS release the price for their device soon.

Move bundle: Eye camera, controller, game for $99.99.

Add 30 for the motion controller.

1st party Move titles $39.99

Sony got it right.

Move wand $49.99
Move nunchuck $29.99

$99.99 bundle and $399.99 bundles do not come with the nunchuck though. :(

The Sorcery game looks more up my alley as something I'd want to play than anything MS showed yesterday for Kinect. Move is showing a lot more than just shovelware.

It's a wii with better graphics. For better or worse.

Ain't that what you said you wanted? :D

I think both Move and Kinect show a lot more advancement than a Wiimote w/Motion+.
Move (so far) shows a lot more in terms of games that appeal to everyone.
No final judgment of course yet, but I'm a helluva lot more impressed with Sony's PC than I was MS's.

With the new Marcus commercials, Sony continues dominating on commercials. Kevin Butler has always been great.

I noticed everyone stopped clapping after they realised the actual price of wand/nun/eye.

Yeah I was hoping a full kit for $99, I would rather see something like that instead. It really depends on how much uses the nunchuck though; a lot of Wii games don't need it, so it may not be *too* big of a deal. Then again, even with Kinect, I haven't seen any games where you move your arms and do something else simultaneously to make your character move.

The ball is in Microsoft's court now, and Sony will surely price theirs accordingly if Microsoft undercuts them.
Either way, every 360 and Ps3 owner wins because these guys will dog it out for the larger piece of the pie that's left.

At least kinect takes it to the next level. It's different.

However nothing necessarily wrong with a wii with better graphics, if motion controllers are what you like.

For people that have a PSeye the price is only 10 bucks more than the Wii solution.

I have a PSeye, so if the software comes I'll probably purchase. I honestly was surprised at the price, I was expecting it to be more.

How so?
(Not trying to flamebait - I'm genuinely curious. I own all 3 consoles and I'm not a fanboy of any. ;))

If you're talking about the tracking or voice stuff - yeah, that's nice, but they've showed no games that used it yet - only the chat and the dashboard.
Otherwise, Kinect seems just like Wiimote and Move. Move your arms, stuff happens. I see no Kinect "move your character" stuff yet though.

Stuff from Sony I don't particularly care about -

-LBP2 (first one was ridiculously overrated IMHO; I played through it, I've seen some of the created stages...just wasn't greatest thing since sliced bread to me)
-3D crap (just bought a 46" plasma 18 months ago, not about to go spend another $2k+ on a 3D HDTV)

Hopefully if they announce PSN+ (or whatever they call the pay service), they leave the current PSN alone (ie keep the free online play). I don't expect this to change otherwise they'd piss off a looooooot of people.

edit wow good guess there if I do say so myself on the + :D
I'd love to see Live Silver include online play now, but I doubt that'll happen. Microsoft loves milking that cash cow.

Full body tracking. That alone opens up a lot of options. The others just use a motion sensing controller and that's all it can track is the controller. A nice first step. Full body tracking is the next evolution. Hopefully that will be followed by holodecks ;)

No, they didn't show off a bunch of games. But they will come, of that I have no doubt.
