Keep your eyes open for the Steam Deals this week

today's deal is Crysis Maximum Edition for $19.99

but you can buy each game individually at a cheap price if you desire

anyway, my point is, keep your eyes open on Steam, each day, EA Games will have a good sale (hopefully) going.

I'll say this for those of you who will inevitably post

DAMN YOU STEAM, for stealing my bank account information!

Grab Maximum Edition if you don't have both games already. Warhead's worth a play in single player.

Multiplayer? The greatest thing about multiplayer is Mechwarrior: Living Legends, a mechwarrior (battletech) combined arms mod for Crysis. Ever wanted to stomp around in a Hellbringer or Atlas that doesn't look like it was modelled in the 90s? This is your chance to shove some AC20 shells into some freebirth's face. How about dropping some Fbombs from a Shiva? You bet. Or jumping around in battle armour, annoying everybody in mechs with your lasers? They got that too. Tanks? Oh yeah, you bet tanks are in this game. Demolisher, Oro, Huit, Partisan, Harasser, and even a Long Tom artillery piece.

Check it out; even if you weren't interested in Crysis, you may be interested enough in the mod to spend the money. Besides, how else are you going to see if your computer can really run Crysis? MWLL maps put even more strain on the computer than Crysis.

Stompstompstompstompstomp.

Darn. Since they're starting out with games from 2/3 years ago, I suspect this is going to be nothing more than a repeat of the holiday sale...

Hopefully something that came out this year makes the list? Still means only Dragon Age will come in below $20...

A lot of B:BC2 & ME2 fans will be watching... But I suspect most fans have bought 'em already...

EA needs to have an "EA" package this holiday...

Thanks, Vinnard!

Just fyi, Wednesday's is broken. Not complaining, mind you, just letting you know.

Fuck me. Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age. My wallet and my social life may have just been raped.

omgomgomg I hope it's Dragon age + expansions for reeeealy cheap

Five game activation limit? No dice EA, no dice.

I'm not going to have my games screw up a few years down the road because my limit runs out, and you decide to screw me.

I love you.

I already have ME2 and DA:O.

I LOVED DA:O. Amazing story line, lots of strategy to use. Excellent immersion and very replayable. You can go through as a high class human warrior or low class elf mage and many other in betweens. The first run in the game took about 40 hours for me.

I'm playing ME2 at the moment and I love the whole space thing. Had I known that's what ME was about, I would have bought it ages ago. Cruising through the galaxy, scanning planets for minerals, getting a time dilation upgrade and sniping whatever you find in space ftw. Huge worlds.

The one big complaint I have with it are the settings. The only settings for your mouse cursor are low medium or high. On low, moving my mouse horizontally across my mousepad resulted in about 5 complete turns, whereas I'm used to CSS where the same action would result in only a 270 degree turn. I googled the problem and theres an entire community with solutions to the problem. You have to go into your mass effect 2 files and change up some configs and if you mess it up like I did, you can't start the game again. Luckily I found some files available online to fix it. I thought that it was typical, probably a port from the 360 version so I tried using my 360 controller for the game. Didn't even work.

Another thing I wasn't happy about are the graphics settings. Very limited and there is no AA option (or AF I believe). I have to go to cataylst control center, use the settings in there and then disable or change them again for another game. It gets tedious.

Regardless of it's minor flaws that are easily fixable, the game is amazing and I highly recommend it.

I'm looking to buy DA Awakening, ME1, BC2 and Mirrors Edge...ugh looks like I'm gonna have to download textbooks this year.

Wait, what? This means you can only install it 5 times? So on the 6th reformat (I do this every 6 months or so), your game goes away?

pretty much.

I keep mailing EA about my Crysis Warhead copy, they take 2 month to reply, and still did not get things done..

I have give up contacting them, fucking worthless.

Just glad that WARHEAD will run 64bit without a single crack. :p

Steam does not equal EA..... So... Unless I'm confused, you can install these through steam as often as you want. It's actually a fun game in itself, the "download and install Crysis, then delete it" game of course.

No, some Steam games come saddled with the DRM the physical counterparts have. Not all EA games have this Securom DRM, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins are two exceptions.

Well then, the hell with Crysis. If the really don't want me to play their game I suppose they really don't want my money. (Not a pirate, I will not play the game is what I'm saying.)

A few years? EA are a bunch of thieves: this already happened to me with Crysis Warhead. I've e-mailed EA Support (as recommended on the "license exceeded" message) SIX times with no response.

Worse, I paid full release price for this title.

I'll definitely be biting on the Mass Effect day.

If they throw out the good numbers, I will bite as well. I have the first on disk but I seem to be slowly replacing my physical copies with the digital version. How the hell did Steam get me to do something that the music industry never will?!?

Oh fuck you Steam damn it all. Looking forward to Dragon Age day, would like Awakening for a nice cheap price since I haven't played it yet.

crack it, that's the advice i'll give ANYONE who pays for a game and is limited by an arbitrary number of installs

YOU PAY FOR THE GAME, YOU OWN IT

i don't want to hear a goddamn thing about "morals" or other garbage like that

if you pay for a game then you paid for the damn game.

Oh hell this week is gonna kill me...already I know I'm in for Dragon Age and I can't see passing up on many of the other days if they are good enough (except Mass Effect because I have those)...

Well, since I didn't buy Metro this weekend, I will definitely buy Dragon Age when it is on sale. I still have to finish Batman.

Damn it! Not now Steam! Just when I was closing my wallet and sealing it shut here comes another sale. Thinking about grabbing Crysis Maximum Ed. but the SecuROM is still there (main reason I didn't buy both games when they were on sale months ago). If I see a good price tomorrow for Bad Company 2 I will jump on it. Might pickup Dead Space on Friday. Really want Dragon Age Awakening for at least $20-25 (or less!). We shall see what happens on Sunday.

here you go...

i wonder if the PC version of Dead Space is worth getting

Definitely. It's gorgeous and awesome. I just finished it, and I picked it up over the holiday. lol.

Edit: Mirrors Edge is also worth getting. Especially if it's gonna be $5 or $10

current price of BC2 is right, sale only makes it better. BC2 is that good. :)

Dead space is awesome. I already have it on PC, along with mirrors edge. May consider adding them to steam if the price is cheap enough.

Mass effect/dragons edge, have played the originals but not very long. May reconsider if the price is right, but I doubt it will be. :)
