Call of Duty: Black Ops will have Dedicated Servers

Seriously, $60 is way too much. Even for MW2 and BC2, I wanted for ad typos/sales and eventually, I spent no more than $30 for each copy.

Unless it'll wow me to the point of ejaculation, it is definitely not worth the 3 Jacksons.

That was a funny way of putting it :).

Those price figures as to what the games are worth to you are entirely subjective though. As I've demonstrated, if you're going to be playing the multiplayer for years, $60 is jack squat. Of course, that's not the case with MW2, and something better is about to be released... personally I'm glad I skipped MW2 and am goin straight for Black Ops, and if it costs $100 it will be well worth it. Hell if they made playing COD a $10/month service, I'd sucker right into it.

You are clueless aren't you, are you 12?

Can you play on 30 person MW2 server? No, because some cuss has to host all the users, both directions the traffic required goes up significantly. On a Dedicated Server with a big pipe, only updates need to be sent to client, so if someone is slow, it it only them, not everyone.

Don't forget that when everyone is going slow, whoever is hosting has the response time advantage. I don't know how bad it is on PC, but I know for XBL, you can always tell who the host is on a game, for virtually any FPS. They can sit still and you'll blast away at them and nothing seems to register until your clip is damn near empty, which is when they finally die. Yet anyone else dies with only a few shots.

You are missing the point that the normal cost for such a thing is $50 charging $10 more may be worth it to you but its still comparatively a bad value.

And then theres the fact they realize the suckers will pay more than a game is worth they will keep charging more.

I quite like the lack of dedicated servers, i noticed less hackers that way in comparison to CoD 4 MW and CoD5. Also if it's anything like their last game (CoD5) then my god, hacking was terrible in that game and i found the multiplayer was utter shite anyway so i played single player and never touched it again.
I for one prefer the MW2 style of lobbies and can't beleive so many people have problems with it, the only thing i think it lacks is the choice of which map to play, which actually at the end of the day means that joe bloggs can play whatever map and not find a "map elite whore" that sits paying that one map over and over to the point where it is not a challenge to them anymore.
As this is a treyarch game, i will be holding back to see what my friends think of it when they buy it, and make sure it's nothing like CoD5 because out of the entire series (excluding CoD 3) i found it a massive disappointment. I want to see them return to the quality seen in CoD:UO

Rossi~

Wait, what? Less hackers with IWNet? You do realize that one of the most prevalent complaints about MW2 is the increased number of hackers...and thanks to the failures of the P2P system, there's no server admins able to boot the hackers, either.

I'm only going on personal findings, seriously i have experienced less hackers on MW2 than MW and way less than CoD5. Maybe because i mainly only find UK servers due to the lobby system and there is possibly a lot less hacked lobbies here than the US?

On CoD5 who were you playing with? 'Cause if you played on my server and hacked anything either I, or one of the other 2 admins would ban you. And if there wasn't an admin around you'd get booted by vote. None of that can happen on MW2. You play with a hacker and you're just plain old fucked. Quit and start another game and pray that you are somehow the host so you don't lag. It's a joke watching my xbox 360 buddies start games over and over and get in big teams in the same city so they can try to make sure that one of them acts as the host. Everyone knows the host has a complete bullshit unfair advantage on those wonderful p2p servers. Well, almost everyone.

BS this is the same crap they told us about MW2 all the way to release.
Then after all the BS of their sorry ass company they never did say why they lied and f us like they did.

I SAY F THEM AND THEIR POS LYING ASS CO

Unfortunately....He's right:(

IW/Respawn lied to a lot of people right up until a month before release. They got lots of good free publicity with that stunt.

Well if we get screwed out of dedi's, MoH is not looking bad actually. It's looking pretty good to be honest. Much better than BFBC2. I havent seen any tanks in the videos either(Hell yeah!).;)
