While decent price it's definitely not hot or relatively speaking it's actually hot. 100 watts of more heat to be precise. Count that to your monthly electric bill it will cost 2x much as 5850 with full year of use while performing about same. meh...

Fermi is a fine product that people had too much time to speculate and build hatred over while nvidia delivered too slowly.

This is a good deal for those who are putting together new systems. Get your HDD free. 500GB single platter design offers highest disk density for better performance.

Fine product in what sense exactly??? Yes, it performs well, but compared to other offerings you aren't getting anything special with Fermi unless you need a space heater. I am not speculating at all about the heat, it is a proven fact that Fermi is insanely hot compared to ATI's offerings.

This is a warm deal, but the overall price isn't all that great and the hard drive isn't worth the $54 newegg has it listed at.

I personally am not a fan of the new nvidia cards but if you are and youre in the market for one a free hard drive is never a bad thing.
 
It's a good deal for someone who's building a system. On top of that, you could always pick up the deal and resell the hard drive for around 50 bucks. 470 for a net of 300 dollars doesn't sound too bad!
 
I am just one more consumer hating those heaters. As for the deal, its not even worth posting because newegg has these often and you end up spending the same amount of money.
 
Wow, I love how you all hate nvidia SO MUCH that you cannot even consider that someone could want the product and get a free HDD.

I love how I piss in the wrong bowl and I get hit for thread crapping but these guys can tap dance all over a threads dick and not get shit.
 
For some reason I can imagine that the TCs were cheerleading their preferred video card while it was consuming more power too. :p

It's a deal if someone wants it. I'm not really interested in any higher end current generation cards right now because what I have runs everything great. Maybe when tthey are refreshed and more DX11 titles become available I'll look again.
 
a free hard drive with your purchase is better than the nothing for free that you get when you buy just about anything else. put it this way, that's what, 50 or 70 bucks you don't have to spend on a new storage solution that you're going to need anyway?

i'm at 2 tb's and i'm already nearing my cap. I literally have a hard drive just for steam games and music. i'm just waiting for a sub-100 deal on a 2tb hdd since i'm not pressed on space at the moment, and I need to hold off on spending right now anyway.
