Corsair Dominator - model no. TR3X6G1600C8D - $189.99

I have this set in my i7 and haven't seen them near this price in a year or more.

Great deal on this kit, but expires tomorrow.

That would appear to be Dominator if the picture is any representation? Damn, not ready for the i7 build QUITE yet.

Whoops, forgot to add the model number. Yes it's the corsair dominators model no. TR3X6G1600C8D

Good news, you have been running these sticks with no problem. Bad news, you run the H50 so I can't ask anything about how the fins affect your cooler setup.

If you're surely going i7 at all, you might wanna invest in the ram now. The prices of ram is only going to go up more.

I dont have this, but I got the XMS2 for $160. The memory has been going up n up.

Holy christ... I paid 70 bucks after mir for 6gb of ocz ddr3 1600.

How long ago?

I paid $80 for 6GB of similar Corsair ram (DDR3 1600, 8-8-8-24 timings...) I think about a year ago.

Same ram is like $200 now, I sold off 4GB of it (I bought 2 kits) so now I'm with 8GB... I wanted to buy 4 more GB because I was thinking of going back to x58 and it's $120! 50% more for 33% less :(

Fu$%... I am not 100% on the build as I am waiting for the Intel deal to come out but it is not for certain what chips they are going to offer. That isn't until June or so. Drat.

Well DDR3 was originally about what it is now (back when I bought a 6 GB kit over a year ago, when the i7 first came out) and then the prices plummeted for some reason, where you could get a 6 GB kit for under $80, and now it's back up to the same prices it was when I got it over a year ago, lol. I should have gotten another 6 GB kit back when it was super cheap. :(

Hmm, good price. I wonder if this would mix well with my XMS3 Cas 8 RAM? They have the exact same CAS speed and voltage. What's the diff between the XMS3 and Dominator otherwise? Just the coolers on them?

Same here, back then I told myself 6 GB was more than enough and that the RAM market felt stable at the time. History should have taught me that I should have horded some damn memory and gotten 6 GB more.

I just wonder if speed increase from 1000 to 1600 mhz make any difference. My mobo support it without being OC, so thats why I am using it.

Dang it all dang. Has anyone had experience doing a return at Micro Center? I JUST bought this memory last week there for $249! Will they take it back of the 2 little seals are broken without restocking fee?

You shouldn't need to do a return. Just go in and ask for the manager and tell them when you purchased the memory, show the receipt and they should just refund you the difference. I've done this many times there (Rockville, MD) and haven't had an issue. Goodluck and let us
know what they say.

Cool. I will go snag a kit from Frys tonight on my way home just in case, and then get the receipt from home and head over in the morning.

lol i paid 67 bux for a 6gb kit last year, can't believe ram prices right now !!!

200 bux seems to be the norm for a 6gb kit at the moment.

Well I think the deal is dead. Ad says 5/11 end date and Micro Center called and would only price match the usual frys price of $229, as Fry's said the deal ended yesterday.

Damn, I was told it ended today - was going to pick up a kit this afternoon.
