Memory Upgrade - Abit AB9 QuadGT

Currently running 2GB Corsair Dominator (2x1GB) PC2 8500 with e6600 cpu. I'm going to upgrade to 4 or 8 GB GSkill 1000 (5.5.5.15) or GSkill black 800 (4.4.4.12) settings.

Is there much difference noticed between 4 and 8 with the bulk of the usage being video, web browsing and gaming? Running on win7 64 with xfx 8600 gts video card and have lag switching from gaming and browsing or to anything else while gaming.

I would say you might notice a slight difference. Are you maxing out your current RAM and using swap space? I know on my main machine I rarely see usage past 6GB right now, and that is WITH a 2GB RAMDisk running.
