Recertified: HP LP2465 Silver / Black 24" 8ms (s-pva) - 227.36$ Shipped

I'll point out that although I didn't like using the two I ordered in an Eyefinity setup with my existing Acer 24", I ended up dumping the Acer and am using the two HP's in a dual setup. I love them, and as of yet have nothing bad to say about them.

Did You not like eyefinity or was their a problem using these monitors as side eyefinity panels?

Just got mine in.

One word; WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To anyone that was worrying about this monitor not working with FPS, dont. There is absolutely 0 issue. I had a bigger issue with screen tearing because of how fucking huge this monitor is, than input lag. And thats only because I didn't have vsync turned on, absolutely 0 fault with the monitor.

In for 2 more ^^

I was thinking about getting one of these, I do have two 19" monitors with 1280x1024, will I be able to setup an "Eyefinity" setup with those two on the sides and the larger monitor in the middle? (With the whole setup looking reasonably good).

I'm mostly thinking about using it in flight simulators. I guess I'd use the SoftTH program to implement it.

It's not possible. All 3 monitors have to be running at the same resolution. Technically it could be possible but your nice big 24 inch would be running at 1280x1024

while i bit more i'm gonna try to buy one in a week and hopefully 2 more later on if they still have them. hope so. my soyo's are just too thick :p

With SoftTH it should work.

Sigh looks like Im RMAing all 3 of mine. 2 have screen blemishes and 1 one has a scratch in the middle of the monitor. Absolutely beautiful monitors. Hope it doesn't cost me too much to send them back.

I don't completely agree with this statement having had one for awhile but I'm also a bit of a monitor snob. This is the first non-IPS LCD I have ever bought for personal use and while it looks wonderful it definitely ghosts although primarily on text, much less so to my eye while in-game.

Either way, still a very good investment if you get one without blemishes.

Now this I completely agree with.

How do you guys think 2 of these will look flanking (either side) a new HP ZR24w (in the center). I was just going to get 2 more zr24w's to complete my eyefinity setup but these are about $300 cheaper total. Thoughts?

What the difference between this and an IPS panel?

I guess the PVA's are more of the middle of the road monitors with decent blacks and viewing angles where the IPS panels are more for color critical work or excellent viewing angles for some people who prefer that

How do the blacks and whites compare to TN panels? I remember on CRTs I could see many gradients but have yet to see anything as good on LCDs.

I was perhaps a little over zealous when writing that. In Borderlands I saw 0 issue. No ghosting, no noticeable input lag. Flawless. Borderlands is however a very bright game.

Playing some other games are saw ghosting, some more than others. Half-Life 2 I saw ghosting in some of the darker scenes, IE just before getting int Kleiners lab after Alyx saves you. UT 2004 I saw ghosting, again on the darker maps. Grendelkeep, the ghosting of pretty distracting. As for the input lag, I did eventually see it when comparing it to my old 5ms display. It's very apparent if you move a window up/down straddling both screens.

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. If I do eyefinity though my main monitor will be something with 0 input lag...

all 3. 2 had real bad black bruises on the center of the screen and 1 has a scratch on the screen. Looks like newegg is going to take care of it though.

Heeeeeyyy. I got my new HP's today. Boxes once again utterly destroyed as the newegg comments mention but I just tested all 3 monitors and they look great!

second came in doa. Newegg was awesome about and and gave me a shipping label for free. I want a u2410, with these as side monitors...

I was thinking the same thing except next to my ZR24w. I just wonder if I will see a difference while gaming.

I've tested 2 monitor eyefinity with this and another monitor with no input lag. I had to look to see it and what I did see wasn't much. Certainly not game-breaking. In landscape I'm convinced it would be fine. Portrait on the other hand may have some issue as more focus is given on the side monitors.
