I pre-ordered the PC version of the game and wonder if the key will work on a Mac version? I ask this because I probably won't have a PC desktop anymore and switch to a Macbook pro.

For the beta, you have the option of downloading either client with 1 key. It's the same for all the other games I have registered to my battle.net account (warcraft 3 / diablo 2 and their expansions).

I am thinking about the full game when it releases. The last Blizzard game I owned was Starcraft 1 so I don't know much of how they work with CD key, but from what you are saying, it works similar to games on steam: as long I have a key (account) I can play it even cross platform?

While I'm sure both versions will be downloadable via your battle.net account after entering in your CD key. Something I'm wondering about is what platforms are included out of the box.

Amazon seems to have it listed to where both are included, yet from go-gamer only the PC version is listed, with no MAC version in site, even thou we know there will be one, and go-gamer does stock MAC games.

Anyone know the anwser?

ALSO: Why the hell is Hard OCP filtering the proper spelling of go-gamer..... ie +++++++?

I am pretty sure Mac version comes with a different installer, so you can only get 1 version per box. Though you can legally pirate the other version afterward.

After patch 11 (the latest patch) the game is nearly unplayable for me. Out of 6 matches I've been disconected 5 times. It sucks right now.

Maybe you were some of my free wins :D.

To the OP, this a great question because when Blizzard releases a new game they do not allow you to initially download the client. They did this with WoTLK and I believe they are doing it with SC2. Your question will probably be better answered on the battle.net forums. If I find anything out I will let you know.

It shouldn't be an issue if you register your keys with the Blizzard store. I can download both Mac & PC versions of Blizzard games without any problems from their store.
