Rebooting on Bios

So my mom's comp I built her is run into an issue.

First of spec wise
Core 2 Quad (I believe 9550)
4GB DDR2 1066 Gskill (2x 2GB)
BFG Geforce FX 8600
Gigabyte Motherboard (Cant remember name off top of my head)
500w Rosewill psu

Everything has been running fine for over a year or so now and just the other day she turned it off and it wouldn't turn on and boot.

What happens is it goes to the BIOS screen and reaches Memory Test then the screen goes blank it beeps once and restarts and repeats the process.

I first checked the memory thinking maybe a bad stick, memory works fine in another machine (tried both sticks singularly)

Next I checked the Power supply, Swapped it out for a working 600w from another PC and same boot up process

Next I checked CPU, Works fine in my other machine.

Then I cleared the CMOS, Now I get to see the fun BIOS picture and can't see the post screen unless i spam tab before it beeps when it resets.

I'm at my wits end. Any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Sounds pretty much like the board is cooked. Remove items one by one (HDD, gpu etc) to alleviate any conflict possibilities. Maybe try a long cmos reset. Otherwise I'd start shopping.

did you load fail-safe or optimized defaults in the BIOS?
did you try a single stick of RAM?
did you run memtest?
did you try updating the bios, or re-flashing the current one?
you can turn off the bios logo screen to see the post screen instead, btw.
also, there's a troubleshooting sticky you can go through, if you haven't already done any of those things in it.

Thanks for the suggestions, ran through these all before starting the thread

Can't even get into the BIOS before reboot

Tried one stick of ram at a time, they work in other machine, memtest doesn't detect anything with them

I'm going to assume somehow the mobo has met its match.

New board arrived, Same board just rev 1.1. Popped it in and it worked off the back. I'm going to assume a capacitor blew or a chip fried somewhere on the old one.
