I’m not sure which is worse, Hollywood expecting money from TPB or the Pirate Bay founders expecting everyone to believe they don’t have anything to do with the site anymore.

At the end of October 2009, the Stockholm District Court ruled that two of the site’s founding members – Gottfrid Svartholm and Fredrik Neij – were now banned from operating the site in the future. If they failed to comply with this decision, they would face a fine of 500,000 kronor ($71,600) each.

aw they want there money? thats a shame... they should make a movie about it.

servers on bunker, founders in a new country. they would have to refile the lawsuit in the new country and win and pay lawers to do it and they would lose more money.

epic fail

Reminded me of South Park so I took the script to reflect this.
Hollywood: "We want more money."
Stockholm: "Yeah. More money!"
TPB: "More money from where?"
Hollywood: "Just more money. You know. Hollywood doesn't get enough money. Other competitors have lots of money. We want-we want some of that money. Ho-How about the internet? Internet makes lots of money. So give us some of that money!"
Stockholm: "Yeah! Give us internet money."

See what pirating does? Now Hollywood has to go without gold-plating on their shark tanks.

in related news, hollywood's name has now been changed to:

Greedywhoreville

Greedy and dumb? I thought we go to them for worthwhile ethics, philosophy, and religion. Both in-movie and when the actors have something intelligent to say offscreen.

Hollywhore++++bags can "want" all they want.

LOL good luck with getting your so calle dmoney, you worthless fuckbags!

I wonder how many of the people railing on Hollywood here still 'consume' (purchased or not) the crap they shovel. I'm guessing most of you, I can smell the hypocrisy through my screen.

Haven't paid for a movie (whether it be a ticket, rental, or DVD) in years.

Hollywood should start making good movies more often...

Why? People flock to the theaters in droves to see horrible remakes, once interesting franchises ground into the dirt, and films that consist of nothing more than cliches. They have little incentive to try and create such a subjective thing as what you think constitutes a good movie when they can instead appeal to the lowest common denominator and rake in the dough.

Ok, but have you watched or 'consumed' any where no one paid? (By means other than clearly above-the-board ones like movies on TV or streaming on Hulu or the like.)
