Best value game drive?

I'm thinking your best bet is to have a smaller sized primary high speed drive and keep a green drive for storage. I think that'll be more cost efficient

You are asking for a value drive, but then list some pretty expensive hardware (for conventional hdd) so it seems to me that you aren't afraid to spend a little cash... why not just get a SSD? find a good deal on an x25-M 160GB if you can afford it, you can install plenty of games into that size of drive... The SSD performance will kill any conventional hdd.

Get 2 black and RAID 0 them. Then green for storage. raptor drives work too (had them in BF2 days, always the one to get the jet ride even with max setting), though I won't really call them value. And then there's SSD.

I think the Samsung F3 and Seagate 7200.12 offer the best value for money. They're some of the fastest drives, but still at the lowest price.

I considered 1TB drives in raid 0, but at that price point I might as well buy the faster drive, right?

I've already got an SSD for my boot drive. And I've found that 150GB just isn't enough for a game drive, unless you keep erasing games. I doubt a 160GB SSD would be big enough for me either.

I'm trying to weigh whether 600gb velociraptor will be big enough vs whether 2TB of pretty fast, but not as fast storage would be a better option?
