What cards/chips you can recommend for networking?
Connection 100 mbit max, or it can be 1000 mbit with average performance.
I need low cpu usage and stability, linux compatible, not expensive.

intel is expensive :( how much better is it compared to realtek?

The Intel NICs are ~$30 at Newegg. The brand name cards start at $15-20. Personally, it's worth $10-$15 to me for the Intel that's going to "just work" in almost any situation you can think of.

well, we have cheap at $7-10 and intel for $40 here

little off topic - any advantages of PCIe vs PCI? or it doesn't matter?

There is nothing positive to say about Realtek. Get an Intel NIC.

PCIe would be more future looking for re-using in future systems once PCI is completely retired.

PCI is fast enough to support gigabit, so *should* serve you well.

GigE = ~100 MB/s
PCI 33mhz = 133 MB/s
(modern consumer mobos might use 66mhz for greatly increased speed, but don't know)
PCIe 2.0 x1 = 500 MB/s

While PCI is theoretically fast enough,

It's not even that, since GigE is full-duplex, so really you need at least 2Gbps of bus bandwidth to support its full speed.

Go PCIe. Go Intel. Not much else to say about it really.
