mlb 2k10 pc for $2.99 on monday 3/5 gamestop.com via digital download. I know, i know, the game has flaws glitches, etc, but for $2.99, might be worth a shot. Found on slickdeals credit to buckythekat and bjf1377

Wow you know your game sucks when they are selling it for $3 barely a month after its release.
 
How bad or good is this game? Is it worth spending time on?
 
Well it is the only current baseball game for the PC. Too bad MLB The Show doesn't do that because it's vastly better than 2k.

Hmm...I've never had a baseball game for the PC before. I might pick it up.
 
wow... writing off a game just because of a sale price is retarded to say the least. this game is phenomenal. anyone that thinks it sucks hasnt even tried it.
 
I read the review, they said it had the same flaws as the console game, but looked better. I was thinking about using a gift card at bestbuy to get this, but at $3 I'm definitely in for one.

For $3 it's hard to say no, but I haven't played a baseball game since SNES Ken Griffey Jr. Major League Baseball which was phenomenal to say the least.
 
Honestly, Ive played it about 7 times since i picked it up at a local big lots last week, and have not see any flaws? The controls are kinda weird with the A B C D pitching select, but other than that the game is good..

Graphics are good, game play is good, and the AI is pretty intelligent.

For 3 bucks I dont see why people can complain.. Hell people didnt complain this bad about Sniper Elite, (which was a horrible game) when it was only 3 bucks on steam..

The thread starter mentioned 3/5, so I didn't look at when he posted. I figured it was a pre-season special and that it was now over. It looks like he made a typo and meant to say 4/5. Assuming it's still true, 90% off would be an awesome deal. :cool:
 
haha, you noobs might want to read before crying about the price. Opening day...april 5th is when its on sale.
I have the the game for xbox360 and its just mehhh. Connecting to online ranked matches is a biotch and if they wouldn't have hyped it as the best game ever i could see paying 3 dollars.
 
how does downloading work for them? Is it a one time download only? Can I buy it, then download it later? I kind of confused now because of the download insurance they throw in there

Gaming with the keyboard works but it's a bit cumbersome.

A gamepad is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The Xbox 360 wired controller is one I'd suggest as it is relatively cheap and easily available.

AFAIK, you can do either. Once the purchase is complete, you get the option to download it right away, but you also get an email with a link that you can use to download it later. I believe the download window is just 48-72hrs, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
 
Holy Hell that is a cheap ass deal. Even I could not pass it up. DL'in at 1.4MPS though so one hour plus for me.
Great find even for the most causal baseball fan.
I did get charged tax for $3.20 total for me
 
Well this is bothering me, twice so far I have lost connection with gamestop. Thank God it resumed both times where it left off but bothersome nevertheless
 
I keep getting credit card processing errors when I try to make a purchase. The system doesn't like MasterCard gift cards either. I'll try again later. grrrr
 
Well I figured I'd post this in case anyone else runs into trouble placing an order. I'm still unable to successfully make a purchase and it turns out that the failed attempts are being charged to my account, I have about 6 pending so far.

Some issues I have with them:
1) They only have a support link on the webpage, no phone numbers and no real contact info.
2) Calling GameStop will not help and they will only refer you to the support page to submit a request.
3) I had to dig around Google to find out that Real Networks owns TryMedia, and then call Real Networks to get the TryMedia phone number (415-255-3131).
4) The TryMedia support number will tell you to visit them on the web for support.
5) TryMedia support is not responsive as they state 24-48 hours for a response.
5) The Billing option for TryMedia says no one is available to speak with you and to leave a message. Good luck with that, the mailbox is full.

I'll just got for it. I'm gonna have to download this one over night then.
