The official "clean desktop" club v2010

7 is great. Been using it since the rc and haven't looked back aside for a short period when 7 customizing was in its baby stages :)

Edit: The only thing I really don't like about it is not being able to view animated gifs in the picture viewer, it opens in IE by default, but it has been like that since Vista so oh well.

I put 7 on my older ThinkPad instead which had Vista. Vista was too slow and bulky.
This lets me play around with Linux Distros on the newer laptop while having a decent backup.
The top here is the 7 in classic in full resolution and above is Fedora 12 which so far is the best for me.

I think people are moving to 7 because they're tired of Vista's apparent slowness and XP's lack of DX10. Plus theres a whole slew of features that XP users were missing, in addition to awesomeness like aero snap/peek/etc

Anyway, I should add a picture.
Collection is the current digital blasphemy 2x1920x1200 .zip with some extras from interfacelift. Left of the gadgets is the winamp and evemon. Right side hold trillian's tabbed chat window. I use both screen almost equally. (and shuffle is now checked, WTF?) And I flick the taskbar from monitor to monitor (always in the middle) depending on what Im doing. If Im gaming its on the right, otherwise the left screen. Its in the right in the pic)

Oh I don't know, I found the picture on 4chan.org. Search there HR thread, if you dare!

looks photo shopped to hell... that lip ring seems very fake

Pretty much any magazine article or fashion photo is Photoshop'd to some degree, people don't look that good naturally. I will agree though, the lip ring does look questionable.

My main system. It has two screens but I didn't see the point in showing both:

The HTPC. Though it cycles through different movie themed backgrounds every 30 min:

The work computer (laptop):

Lastly, the DOS Box:

Just set up rainmeter for the first time....here's my custom sidebar against 2 different backdrops.

After going through this thread again I couldn't help be unsatisfied by my previous background. Here is attempt #2 -- I'm much happier with the results. I only wish I could use the desktop email notification in Rainmeter, but people being able to see your password seems like a silly security risk, I'll probably end up replacing the Gmail skin with a power meter or something.

Kizen, can you link to the wallpaper; and is it available in dualscreen?
