How do they still fare around now? I have found them used for around 200$. Are they worth it now or should I look for something better at that price range? Edit: and after some google search something more reliable... Do fuses really blow up "that" often as some people tend to imply on this product?

Ive had mine for more than a year...never turn it off! Thats the important thing. Ive read of people that have had to forever then turned them off and turned them back on to have them blow...so just keep them on. I turn mine off all the time, so I mean, its worth $200 for sure...youre always going to hear the "bad" on the internet.

7.1 is tits! Games and movies are absolutely breath taking!

Did change the stands plastic holder on floor stands break easily. I bought different stands. Speakers are solid and got DDTS 100 decoder as well so you can hook up consoles as well. Only good 7.1 pc speakers around.

I also have this set for more than a year and had no issues. I don´t know about this "turn on/off" thing but I always leave the switch in the back of the sub on and put it in standby mode whenever I´m not using it.

I think they´re worth purchasing for average computer/movie use, but if I could I would go for receiver + separate speakers

Id agree...I did have these hooked up to my HTPC and 60inch 1080p...it got plenty loud and its quite the system for how cheap it is now a days...its actually the BEST system for the price out of anything out there!

Thank you guys, I'll try to contact that guy for more information but he at least implied that they are quite new... It's interesting in a fishy way why does he sell such a good speakers for price that low? By the way I live in Europe, here new Creative Gigaworks S750 still cost ~~ 500-600$

Finally found another seller who sold them for the same price but only used for 4 months :) And now another problem emerges from ashes of Isengard - there are only 3 minijacks while and I just cant get side speakers to work... Are there any "easy" solution to this or I'll have to buy separate cable to connect side speakers to the sound card? Edit: silly me, my sound card is Asus Xonar DX

I had these speakers for so long as absolutely adored them. Mine died just before christmas. I think i had mine about 7 or 8 years with only the occasional on/off problem (about once a year). Not really a problem. Though my control box did start playing up the last couple of years. Took about 20 or 30 clicks to turn the unit on.

Still, an amazing piece of kit. The sound quality was incredible. My heart died along with my system when the amp gave out. Couldnt fix with a fuse or capacitor replacement. However. The speakers themselves are exceptional quality. I have them hooked up to my 12 year old yamaha amp and they sound just as good after a little tweaking with my sound cards equaliser. Not as good bass though. The sub was amazing on the 750's.

Excellent system if you get a fully working model.
