Hmm...how many cars can be involved in a police pursuit and can you play as the police?

Whatever happend to being able to be the police and pull people over?? This "MMO" sounds a little iffy but I love NFS

curious about this but for some reason it smells like fail.

Probably because it looks like NFS Underground / Most Wanted based off of what I was able to find on Youtube. I was almost hoping it would be more like MCO but the Nissan in the above pic kind of tipped me off.

It would be pretty frakkin sweet to be a cop, drive around, and then chase people and collaborate with other cops to take people down. That would be so much fun.

AH!! Not another one!!! I'm tired of ricer inspired games that really are not fun at all. So original using a fucking GT-R on the cover. How about a Noble M600. These games are fucking annoying

Their engine wasn't that bad in Shift. However gimped, EA does have an engine to use and if they make an efficient back-end for well organized, 'worldwide' bracket racing, I'm in.

Motor City Online, the only MMO I wish didn't die. This would work if EA wouldnt screw it up and allow muscle, import and any other number of vehicles without being silly.

GT-R's are awesome. Haters gonna hate.

The GT-R rests in the hearts and minds of many in this generation so they probably threw whatever is most recognizable on the cover. How much you want to bet tons of people wouldn't be able to recognize a Noble. I, too, am also in the obnoxious camp that loathes what the NFS series has become.

Though Shift was a step in the right direction, I'll let F1 2010 be my racer of this year. Unless Gran Turismo 5 comes out...

I would rather have seen a Porsche 911 gt3, Aston Martin vantage or a ZR1 on the cover. The GT-R is a superb car in the technical aspect... but in looks... eh... just looks like a fat 350z to me... never liked that styling but what the car does is impressive.

I've been trying to sign up for the beta, I enter my EA account info and it does nothing... times out or something i guess

Ditto

It is buggy as hell right now, and windows popping up everywhere during the game make things confusing. At the beginning of the race I was stuck at some prompt I couldn't get out of. Let's just say they have quite a few bugs to work out. But it's a pretty good looking game for only 700MB.

i played the first beta weekend...uninstalled it after a few hours. lame-o.

when i wanna play on the same maps/tracks as nfs most wanted, ill just load that game up.

Nissans are awesome. Not your typical ricer car.

Actually I'm pretty sure they are your typical ricer cars :p

But anyway, this would be an awesome concept if the physics were realistic, however I doubt they will be so I'm gonna approach this game pessimistically. If it has arcade style physics it'll only be entertaining for a few hours, with realistic physics I would play it for days on end.

I just want to be able to get onto a game and freaking race somebody. I wish the games were more like Need for Speed III. I tried Shift and didn't like it at all. Well, I tried the demo. Maybe the real game is different. The demo has 2 tracks. On one, I crashed into everything and was still able to come in first. The second track I crashed into everything and came in last by a mile. Something is wrong with both of those things.

Full game of Shift is solid.

It demands a wheel though imo.

I just wish the would redo Need For Speed In Hot Pursuit 2 for the PS3. That game in my opinion was the best NFS.

If this is like Test Drive Unlimited, it might be pretty fun. I loved that game on the 360 and spent way too much time playing.

I played a ton of tdu on pc when it came out that game was fun as hell. If they take that formula and improve on that this game might be a win.

The original NFS on 3DO was the best, followed by NFS Porsche. Just my opinion.

This game has only been rehashed half a dozen times or so. I wish they would just stop making these shitty games and make a good one for once.
