I was thinking of getting the Scythe SCVSG-1000 because i know the Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo Pro doesnt fit the 5850's

Yeah but dont you need their VRM heatsink that isnt released yet? what do you use to cool the VRM's in the meantime with that heatsink?

I just stuck on the passive heatsinks that were included in the package. No problems so far.

i would look at the HR03, its been a workhouse for cooling and IMO the best you can get..

i don't knwo how it works on the 5800 series but worth a look..

Yeah he had to do alot of hacking up to get it to fit though Bracket modifications? i dont know how i feel about that.

Are you sure the AC TTPro doesn't fit? I thought the 5850 and 5870 had the same mounting framework?

TTPro doesnt fit cuz the DVI bracket is closer to the heatsink on the 5850

Ahh ok...hmm, well then I'm not 100% sure the TRad will fit .

I just installed a T Rad on my 5870 and dropped my temps on avg 20C.

Watch the installation video. I don't know how effective that heatsink is but I think it should be fine.

The TTP fits, all you have to do is cut a few fins down less than an inch each. Literally took me 5 minutes. Works great on my 5850.
