"Predators" Sneek Peek

I had no idea this was even in the making. I was excited, and then I saw Topher Grace as the main character. I hope he gets killed first but being the star, I don't find that likely.

While I am excited about this movie please don't post stuff that isn't related to technology more directly. I don't want this site to be move the way of digg.

lol I love predator. nothing will beat the original, but the concept of the "predator" alien itself is fantastic. hunting humans for sport is always a recipe for a good movie. having a belt made of skulls is also a win-win concept.

The only thing that would make me want to see this more is if it had Samuel Jackson in it too!
 
Nice to see Lawrence Fishburne slimming down a little. He was downright fat in the last Matrix movie.

Fuck that. Most of the people here would be interested in this movie. I'm glad it was posted.

Robert Rodriquez directing the talented actors. Hell yes. This is going to be one bad ass movie.
 
One, well, two other things i like about this movie.

Rodriguez is producer and Antal is director. With those two involved, it would have to try pretty hard just to suck.

If you like foreign/noir type films... check out "Kontroll", on Netflix Play Instantly as well, Hungarian with subtitles. That was Antal's first film and is still among my most favs. This guy is great at setting moods and tension, which, arguably, accounts for more than half the first Predator film itself.
 
Oh hell yes. Wasn't even aware of this and a HUGE predator fan. ^_^ Let's hope it delivers.
 
Looks like a rehash of the original,a bunch of tough guys go into the jungle and get picked off one by one. I was hoping for something new. Maybe a future setting,where humans have advanced enough technologically that the Predators have to deal with the idea that they're more than just prey.

I agree, FINALLY, A Decent Summer movie stretch. With tickets @ 16 bucks a pop nowadays, They won't need to worry about pirating this summer.

16 bucks!?! Do you watch everything in IMAX 3D??

I love that Adrien Brody is in this, it seems like such a departure for him. Most anything Rodriguez is attached to has style to spare, so it would be hard to suck outright.
 
I think this film could be wonderful, on par with the first (in a different direction).

$10.50 a ticket at a local AMC Theatre here, and $7.50 matinee.

Another theatre is $7.00 matinee and $9.50 for adults.

SAVING MY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR SUMMER MOVIES!

Last summer was disappointing. Not many good movies since Summer '09.
 
I'm a HUGE fan of the original predator. Probably won't feel the same without John McTiernan directing it since he's got that gritty filming style. I hope this is a rated R movie, can't be a predator movie without mass profanity and gore. What made the original work was the fact that the predator never revealed himself until the last 45 minutes of the movie; thus keeping the viewer more intrigued about the mysterious hunter. Hope they keep it the same. The predators in the AVP movies ran around like hulking football players and didn't use cloaking at all. WTF? I've given up all hope with anything Predator, but maybe this remake can redeem itself.

There is a new Robin Hood being made? *Quickly, very quickly, jumps to IMDB to check on it.* Ridley Scott and Russel Crowe. Meh. Never mind. I'll wait for it to hit DVD.
 
your loss guy. I've been reading about this movie for awhile now, but this is the first footage I've seen. I liked what I saw, this could be very good.

You should check out Nimrod's other movies. They ooze grit and he doesn't shy away from gore, either.

I logged in for the first time in weeks just to second your Kontroll recommendation. It's definitely a good flick.

In the past i was waiting for Aliens vs Predator and when I saw it stunk. Then I thought maybe the next one would be good but it stunk as well. If this one fails to be any good, I won't be surprised. I already don't expect it to be great since they put in a special forces woman; she will probably live as well and most of the men will be used as cannon fodder. I remember in the original Predator they had such a badass group; now most movies have characters that are not interesting.
 
Don't mention Robin Hood, it's a fail, after Ridley Scott changed the original scenario, that Robin was the bad guy, and sheiff was the good one. It will be another "I'm the good Robin Hood" crap

But PRedators looks interesting, I really hope it will be like 1st movie,, and not AvP-like

You die now. I hate that guy. he's not even an actor in my opinion, just a guy that yells in every "movie" he is in.
