Just curious. I finally retired mine after many years of service.

I had to replace mine in December '06 with an Antec P180. Those cases are just too noisy... sturdy though.

I never had one of these cases before but I ALWAYS wanted one!

I bought an Antec 1080AMG (1030+ side fan grill, front usb and firewire ports) used off Craigslist recently for $30 and built my new Quad core (q6600, 4GB RAM, GA-EP45-UD3P) system in it. It is very roomy and very well built... except the front chassis bezel is somewhat dryrotted, I broke a plastic tab off it trying to pull of the bezel to do some cleaning...

It's great, espescially for the price.

Sadly Antec doesn't have parts anymore for this case, so I've been scouring Craigslist for another one.

hey there i know this is kinda late, but do any of u still have the cases? i am in need of some parts for my own which is still in service and so far i havent had any luck finding parts.

Mine is still in service as my Windows Home Server machine. That is a great case.

this case was the bomb diggity to this day. The case is on its third motherboard/cpu combo, all of which i used for at least 2 years before replacing. Quality build for sure, plus everyone thought you had an original alienware :)

I had one of these a looooooong time ago. i too replaced it in 2006 with a P180 haha.

Don't just look for Antec though, I think other companies like Ultra used the exact same design for their cases.

I've never had one, but by the looks of it they were very popular back in the day. Wasn't the design pretty much the same as the Chieftec Dragon?

these cases are bomb-proof. i still have three of them(1 alu, 2 steel) and i actually use one of them for my main rig (in sig below). the removable drive bays accessible from the outside are extremely handy, and the hard drive racks come out if you ever do need to install the longer graphics cards. unfortunately, the biggest size case fans they regularly support are 80mm's...oh yeah...they also came with the same (universal) keys for the bay doors. nice little addition. i dont see myself replacing the case anytime soon since it suits my needs well and has plenty of space

IIRC, the chieftec design is identical

my thoughts exactly when I built one of em in 03, still kinda wanna do another build in one

I've been using the aluminum Chieftec Dragon w/window for probably about 7 years now. Really the only thing I don't like are the 80mm fans and no side intakes. I'm seriously considering upgrading to something like the CM 690 II Advanced, but I don't know if I really need to or if if I just have the upgrade itch after ordering a new CPU, mobo, RAM, and video cards. As of this coming weekend I'll have an MSI R5770 HAWK crossfire setup running, and I'd like to OC them. I wonder much of a difference I'd see with side intakes on them...

The side window on the Dragon seems more plastic than anything else. What are the chances of making clean fan hole cuts with a Dremel? Or would it be worth it to buy a new side panel and window kit with pre-cut fan holes? Or should I just say F it and buy a nice, new case? :p

Just retired it from my old agp system. When my IDE HardDrive died I decided the whole rig should just be parted out and dissolved away
