hey guys how do you go back to the old Steam UI? I dont like the new one much, is there an option to go back because i cant find anything in the menus
 
I suggest you to get used to it. But well, you just need to opt out of the beta, which is in the options.

View>Settings> click on "Change" under Beta Participation.
 
great thanks, i couldnt figure out where that option was. the new UI is confusing to say the least
 
I like it as well. Like stryker said, you should prolly just get used to it because im sure it will become standard once the beta testing is over.
 
I like the new interface but for some reason it kept detecting my status as 'Offline' a lot...had to restart Steam to fix it...looks like they still have a few bugs to work out
 
i would like to like it ... but was crashing on startup for me.
 
I like the new interface with one exception is that there is no "mini games list". I like to use that and leave it on the far right side of my extended desktop display.
 
Far too many bugs in it yet. It wasn't bad as far as layout and design, but the number of bugs and flaws were overwhelming. I opted out after about three days.
 
I like it except you can't change the download region with the beta, I had to switch back to the old one to get a server to download BC2 off of. In the beta settings there is no 'downloads' tab. I will probably switch back after BC2 is done DLing.
 
Seems good so far.

Lil tip I've just discovered;

To fire up the new steam and have it start minimised use this command line switch;

c:\blah blah blah\steam.exe -silent
