My 1st OC

Nice - I just started OC'ing my new 920 last night as well - getting similar temps w/ the Apogee XT waterblock. I passed 20 rounds of lynx @ 4.2ghz (200x21, 1.35V vcore, 1.344V under load) last night so I think I may just keep it at 4.2ghz. Anyway, going to run p95 for a few hours to make sure it stays stable. My setup is in case, so with Lynx temps did creep into the low 70s after a few hours, but system's been rock solid!

The 1.35V mark was a guess b/c the system wouldn't boot at 1.3V ..so technically I should tweak that..but we'll see. Depends on my patience :)

Anyway nice OC!! Gotta love these chips.

Well just got my system up and going tonight, not in case yet though. here are my results on my 1st attempt! GPU is just for starting up purposes, my cards come in next week along with case, can't wait!

This is your first time overlocking ever? If so that's cool that you shared it with everyone. It's an addictive hobby and you might wake up one day with "10 years" next to your username wondering where the time has went lol. Good luck!

I have overclocked my AMD 940 Denab, just for a few minutes and always brought back to stock, I was on air at time. Just was always worried about temps. But this will be my first chip that I leave OC.

Great speed for your first overclock :). As always, watch your temps and check your stability .

+1 for the self promote!

I have only posted 582 times in 10 years, don't think I am into self-promotion much lol. I just think that it's cool people are still discovering overclocking in 2010. It's also pretty amazing this site has hung in for a decade when so many have come and gone.

I haven't dicovered it, just I am new myself at trying it. With a few good guides out there to follow and experienced people such as at this forum to talk to with help is great.
