New SSD for OS and WoW only

Good Afternoon!

I just received an OCZ Agility 60g SSD and would love some advice on how to properly set it up and tweak it correctly.

The computer itself is only used as a gaming box for World of Warcraft though I usually have Trillian and Firefox loaded on a 2nd monitor to multitask while raiding.

I was just wondering if any of the pros have any advice to offer on how to set this SDD up correctly to just focus on gaming

My system specs are as follows.

Asus P6T motherboard
i7 920 running at 3.6
6g ram
evga 285 GTX video card
X-fi music sound card
Windows 7 64 bit

When I built the system last year I used a 300g raptor drive for everything. I'm probably going to use the raptor drive as storage or perhaps my 1TB caviar black drive that I orginally purchased for my storage drive that I never got around to installing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate any and all advice.

Depends on your OS.

If you're running Windows 7, it will set the SSD up properly when you install it, nothing special you need to do.

Oh sorry I did not list my OS, I went back and edited my post.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

Windows 7 has built in SSD support so it should disable automatic defragging, indexing, and superfetching. It also has TRIM support if your drive supports it. Other than that I think you just need to get used to the small fast OS drive model kind of like back in the day when some of us were using 36GB Raptors. You will probably have to pick and choose what to run off the SSD. I know some people have also been using symbolic links to traditional drives so they can move files easily between SSD and storage drive.

I'm ready for the small drive.

I was able to use a 74g raptor for 4 years and never was more than 50g full on it.

This 60g drive will have Windows 7, World of Warcraft, Firefox, Trillian, and Ventrilo.

Those are the only programs I'll be running off it. =)

Update the firmware on the SSD to 1.5 and install Windows 7.

Good call on the 60GB model, I got a 40GB and it only has 2gb's left after Windows 7 64 and WoW ><

I just need to know how to setup this drive to boot off of and my 1tb WD HDD for mass storage (music etc..) would this be a "RAID" setup?

just one 1TB drive and one SSD drive?
