Ok, so I am looking at the new ad for Microcenter that starts Monday 2/1. On page 15 they have the Corsair 800D for $223.99. Possibly the lowest I have seen it. No rebates.

I do not have a link since the ad has started yet and I cannot scan it currently, but I will as soon as I can.

Nice, I was there today at Tustin, CA store and they had them in stock. Would buy one if I didn't already have one.

Debating on getting one and getting rid of my MM case. I like the idea of a smaller case and this one is pretty sweet, only other case I have been looking at was the CM690 II Advanced.

Very few people would call it a smaller case... I know what you mean though. I love my MM Ascension...

Here is a link to the scans of the pages I made. Lots of good deals. Many memory/cpu/mobos cheaper than newegg. Will be the first time picking up many items for the first time in B&M instead of online!

It's actually a hair smaller than the ATCS 840. It has one less external bay as well. I own both. (it's like 1/2 inch taller, but it's 3/4 inch thinner, and also shorter - front to back.)

DO WANT.

I just can't justify throwing out my Antec Twelve Hundred for this. I mean, the 800D is superior in many ways, but I'm sure I would barely get anything for the case. Reselling cases is hard because of shipping. :(

Sigh, if only they applied that policy to other items as well. Of course they'd probably go out of business. :D

I love having it where I live, along with a CompUSA, Frys and Direction. I never felt comfortable buying from the internet, I know I must be such a wierdo. :)

They have low CPU prices (probably lowest i7 920 price on the planet!) to gouge you on other items, for instance they sell the Asus P6T7 SuperComputer motherboard for $499.99 vs. $399.99 right now at Newegg. :(
That's their plan, come for the CPU, stay for the overpriced other components and it works. Otherwise, if everyone went just only to buy the cheap i7 920's, they'd immediately raise the price back to MSRP.

most of thier prices fall in line with the internet. I got my p6t and tpower mobos there. my acts840 was dirt cheap there compared to newegg (and saved on shipping). You just need to know where to look.

hopefully they have a deal like this going on when sandy bridge comes out so I can get one on the cheap.

They had this exact same sale in late January of last year. That is when I purchased all my components (except my GTX 285 from Frys) from them for my very first build. I remember in that sale, they had the Antec 1200 case I bought for only $129.99! :D

I guess they have this sale every late January/early February.

itll be a while before i think i'll get this case but i'm glad its going down in price...two more years...oh god its gonna be a while.

Of course all these sales of late happen long before I'll get my tax refund so I have money to spend.

The big decision for me though is where to put the money I'm getting, and as much as I love the 800D I've got a good TJ-09 that has served me well and is still as solid as a tank as when I got it 2 years ago.

Still very tempted to drive to Boston and snag one of these somehow.

Being a person who loves the smaller cases better that the bigger cases I still have to admit the 800D is very nice. After seeing it in person last night at the SV MC it's the cases I would choose if I were to go large.

Nice inside layout.
Great finish that does not get spotted and finger printed easily (You Lian Li, and CM ACS people know what I mean).
Has a drive cage.
Don't like the windowed cases, but th e800D is nice enough to overlook that feature.
Power supply is on the bottom where I like it.
Vents on the top are unobstructed. (Unlike the Xaser case)
Black inside and out.
No edges to cut you.
Cable management that makes sense and looks clean!

Very nice case all around and I give Corsair top marks!

But I still like cases that can lay flat inside of 17.25" more..

Man, I love Microcenter. So I go out there today with my ad in my hand and ask if they will sell it to me today at that price, sure enough do and i also got the rebate. So when it is all said and done I got the case for $212 tax and after rebate. Not bad, not bad at all.

wish I would have known :) I have a couple things to pick up.. the DDR3 memory and Vertex are at a very good price!

Santa Clara, CA store has about 20 of these stacked in the middle of the store.

If this is online i'll be buying one to replace my antec 900. Otherwise...no microcenter near iowa :(

$240+$17 shipping online right now

Funny went in today to price match since I bought it yesterday to qualify for the $30 mail in rebate.

When the cashier went to make the price adjustment it rang up at $239.99 in store and I just showed him the ad and he price adjusted it to the $223.99 price. I just thought that was weird.... Weird thing happened yesterday also, price tag on the case was $279.99 and it rang up at $299.99, they also corrected that yesterday ,but it didnt really matter.

Thanks again to UT on the heads up on the sale and Z(+)DIAC for giving me the idea to buy it a day ealier to qualify for the MIR and then do a price adjustment.... Getting this case for $212 was not a bad deal .... didnt really need a case but thought i would try it out and compare it against my TJ07...

Pretty decen deal now for people who dont have a MC near them... Its about the same price as if you were walking instore to pick it up.

Snagged one of these on the way home from work (@ MC in Paterson NJ). Price was $223 before tax. Wanted something a little bigger since I don't think a 5870 would fit in the previous case (Antec 900). This thing is huge. Very nicely built, and cable management is awesome. Just make sure you have some extra-long SATA cables for DVD drives!

Hopefully we will get some nice deals on 5870's once I get my federal tax refund :D
