Post your "rate my cables" here

Go ahead, let me have it.

Worse culprit is the rear exhaust/radiator fan. That wire needs to be wired behind the motherboard or extended so that you can tuck it out of the way instead of right across the board.

Is there no CPU fan header by the socket? Isn't that a system fan header you have it connected to?

Where can you purchase that Corsair kit for the CPU?

There isn't anything right there unfortunately. I need to find an extension wire.

Just make one out of any other wire.

Can't you just run it under the hoses for the cpu cooler and plug it into the plug on the board designed for the cpu fan? If I looked up the right model...the cpu fan header should be right between the northbridge heatsink and the pci-e slot, or somewhere in that general area.

He claims there is no CPU header in that area. That makes no sense to me either. How can you build a system and miss your CPU header?

LOL, his CPU header should be right here!

Let me clarify!

My corsair fan I have pushing into the rad is plugged into that header. I should have said there is not one available right there. :D

There is one below my video card, but that is where I have the H50 pump plugged into.

There is the 3rd where my Xigmatek fan is plugged into and a 4th at the very bottom of the board that the wire does not reach.

First Build:
I think I could have planned it a little better, but not bad. Getting all those fans were a PITA. I may go back and clean that up better when i get my Blu-Ray Drive and 4th HDD.

Let me know what you think.

After trying to fit the side panel back on, i realize that theres not enough room. I have a feeling i may have to redo the cables another way. Thoughts?

Modular ? I'm not sure i understand your question, all Corsair PSUs from HX series have same cables (of course different number of them and different number of connectors on PSU itself).

Yea i need to know cause next psu im getting will def be that, i cant stand that braiding they come with now, just thick and messy for no reason.

After adding XFX 4850, a SATA 500gb, 32mb WD HDD and my old Audigy 2 ZS soundcard.

Planning on cutting off the stock fan grills and maybe try to cut some cable management holes. I'm not sure how well that will work out seeing as there is barely any room behind the mobo tray.

Hey bro, love the job you did on the system, very nice and clean. One thing I noticed. I have the EXACT same motherboard as you do. If you are trying to run that in dual channel mode, there in the wrong sockets.

For dual channel, its still one and three, which is actually not a color match. Dimm slot 1 is black and 3 is blue.

Just letting you know bro.

This board is not exactly like other boards.

Incorrect.

He has it configured properly for Dual Channel operation.

You don't want 2 sticks in the same channel... it wouldn't be Dual Channel. ;)

Sorry for the bad quality pictures. I hate the location of the 24-pin and the usb ports. Love the case! Immediately after installing everything, I realized I didn't have sata cables that were long enough (coming from a Antec P180).
