Man Mods Missles onto Motorcycle

What an idiot shooting this off on public roads and near homes. I don't really understand why this kind of thing is a headline at hardocp.
 
If he lived in Texas he wouldn't need to make those rockets, we pretty much sell them by the case twice a year as bottlerockets. It may be a nuisance to neighbors around July 4 and New Year's to fire them off, but, motorcycle aside, there isn't really a big property issue. I know this because I have had cops come to my door twice during firework season for neighbor complaints and all they did was ask very nicely if I could try to keep them off the roof's/backyards of the jackasses(their words) that complain. They were very upfront that they couldn't issue me a citation for shooting them off (which I figured they could have made up a reason if they wanted to). Of course I'm sure you can take somebody to court over it, but for what can't you these days?

Having shot off several thousand of those things, (and judging from the distance/speed/size they are virtually identical), this really isn't that dangerous in his application in the video.

I only see one video where anybody else is around, and while it may be stupid/illegal to do it on an actual road, nobody but himself was anywhere near. Didn't you guys see how far away the cars were? No chance of hitting one - maybe an interesting distraction. Some of make it sound like he shot these off in rush hour traffic.

Rockets don't have recoil.
 
Some military launchers do, like the AT4, which use a closed breech to launch the rocket with concussive force similar to a mortar. Those are the only kind of man-portable rockets I know of that would produce any felt recoil.

Because it is a mod that was funny, retarded, idiotic, cool, crazy and no doubt against the law in some states. Not only that but he almost took himself out with a "rocket" and he damn near killed his camera man with one at the end of the video (+1 bonus). :eek:

My question to you is...how could this NOT be on the front page? :D
 
Sounded like a cool idea if used in the country and not putting people's lives at risk.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch it because the video was removed by user. :(

Aw damn, by the time I found this post and tried to watch the video, it had been removed by the user! I can only go off of what you guys have been talking about in this thread, but from what I gather, yeah it's not military-grade destroy-everything rockets. Sure got my interest though. LAWLZ

The intended application is up, not forward skipping down the road. As to dangerous, if they get held up while still burning they will do plenty of damage. I've even seen them scorch the bottom of a fiberglass pool full of water. All that needed to happen was on coming traffic see the things flying, get distracted/panic get into an accident.
 
So why did he remove it? Was it going to lead to an arrest? Was it a fake? I didn't get to see it before it was removed.

He was firing off bottle rockets on public streets. He was probably having second thoughts about exposing his stupidity to the world.
