Looking for 24 to 27 inch IPS Monitor

Hello, everyone!

I have lurked here for a very long time, but now I find myself needing some advice.

I currently own an L246WP-BN 24" monitor that has been a great monitor. However, it is starting to go bad so I figure it is time to start looking for a new monitor.

I am looking for an IPS or better widescreen LCD or LED monitor that is somewhere between 24" and 27". Before someone suggests sizes below 24", I already have 22" and 23" monitors and they are too small. Ideally, I am looking for something larger than 24" if possible. Unfortunately, all of the local stores seem to only carry 23" and smaller monitors now.

Any specific monitors you can recommend would be greatly appreciated!

NEC has an upcoming IPS line to replace the 90 series lcds, Full line from 23" to 30", but who knows when they'll be out.


You know, you should include your budget and what usage you'll be getting out of it when asking for monitor recommendations.

HP LP2475w is a great IPS monitor, I'd say it's almost equal with the NEC, though about $500 cheaper. I don't own a NEC so the only thing I'd have against it is it's enormous price tag.

Damn, how could I forget the Dell U2410 and the HP LP2475W.

Dell U2410 is a wise choice in my opinion. The pre-calibrated sRGB setting is not perfect but provides you with a fairly accurate picture from the start.

I recommend the Planar PX2611w. I own it and I am happy with for general usage and gaming.

I recommended it to a friend for professional graphics work and he loves it.
