Majestouch Cherry Blacks for gaming

Filco Realforce 101
Filco ALPS Majestouch t-keyless

Waiting on the Matias Tactile Pro 3.0 :)

I use my G15 V2 on a regular basis since it came out a few years ago. It is a bit mushy for my liking but none of the nice mechanical keyboards have the extra features I want.

Currently using a Microsoft X6. I like it, but want to try a mechanical switch based keyboard. I've narrowed it down to the Filco Majestouch Tactile or SteelSeries 7G.

Unicomp makes the Model M with Windows keys and USB. They bought the IBM keyboard plant in Lexington, KY, so it's actually a continuation of the IBM product line.

Unicomp Space Saver.

Makes my previous G15 feel like the pile of crap it really was.

FILCO Majestouch TACTILE NKRO, great board. Also a fan of the Das Keyboard (but not as much as the FILCO's)

Really comes down to preference. The Cherry Blue's are much quieter and use less force. The Brown's are pretty common and give a pretty solid click. Haven't messed with Cherry Black's or Linear Force keys so can't really comment on em.

I bought a G15 2 years ago but It's still in its box. I've been using the stock dell keyboards for years now and I'm too used to them.

Deck Ice 82-key illuminated mechanical keyboard.

My fav :p

I'll buy the full size Deck Fire in the near future.

The new mac keyboard. Best keyboard I have used hands down. The keys are spaced about and its feels bomb, I just need to angle it so I put and electric tape under it.

Still using my Logitech Media Keyboard I got from Target when I built my first pc.

Best $15 bucks I spent that is still around on my desk.

My classic Logitech Elite - seen more then a couple milk/soda/beer spills and still rocking. I finally asked for a replacement as a possible Christmas present but I'm not sure I'm really ready to part...

Apple aluminum keyboard. Used an HP keyboard for a few days and hated every second of it. I'm back to my Apple keyboard now and it's like night and day - the difference between 80 WPM and 160 WPM. (I'm probably one of the fastest typers on here. :D)

MS Natural. After using it for awhile and getting used to it, there is just no going back.

Any split style natural keyboard will do for me, and I have tried several more expensive natural versions, like the ms 4000 and logi 80 dollar one. But the cheap little natural elite & OEM version are still the best. They are sturdy, last forever, and have nice key action.

Logitech Wave,
the point being comfortable typing (not fast typing, mind you) because the palm rest is mighty comfortable when you type and pause and type so much (i'm a programmer).

long battery life - don't need rechargeable batteries with this one. I''ve been using regular Duracell battery that comes with the keyboard for more than a year now and there's no sign of it weakening, and I'm using it like 25 days a month (programming, gaming and all that). The box says 3 years battery life, but we'll see.

other than making it Backlit as mentioned by zero2dash -- integrated usb ports would be nice...

backlit would be very nice, but that would give away battery life. I'm thinking if there's an option for backlit, it has to be powered by separate battery.

They were most likely referring to the wired model, which obviously wouldn't require any batteries.

I used to love my Logitech Ultra-X, but after wearing out 3 of them, I decided it was time to upgrade to something better..so I snagged a Logitech Ultrathin Illuminated keyboard on black Friday and I LOVE it so far.

Logitech Ultra-X, however I orderer one last year and they changed it quite a bit (requires more pressure for keys to be pressed, and keys have a different texture).

ugh, all these terrible membrane boards in here.

Right now, I'm typing on my G80-3000 with blue cherry switches

Gave away my Filco brown cherry to my brother for xmas. Gonna get a new Filco soon.

My favorite was Logitech cordless UltraX keyboard. But it died and now I have crappy S520 keyboard.

Steelseries G7!

I so have to get this keyboard with my next upgrade. Too bad they dont make the G6 any longer though. Das Keyboard make some solid keyboards too.

I am on a cheap Lenovo right now, its great value for the price. Very reliable and great for typing and gaming (if you dont like flat keys, that is). Its noisy though.

And then I still use my IBM model M 1391407 from 1994, its unbreakable... and NOISY!

I just ordered a Filco tenkeyless w/black switches for my gaming rig. Hope I like it heh.

OfficeOne $15, 4 year old white standard 102 keys-keyboard, its about the best keyboard I've had for gaming, and yes it beats the G19 in my case too.

Currently using a Logitech DiNovo Mac keyboard. Also like both Apple keyboards (wireless with no numpad, and wired with numpad). For PCs, I did all my work and all my gaming on a $9 Logitech Internet Navigator for several years. Just recently died. :(

I've lost the enthusiasm for my Logitech Illuminated keyboard. I'm on my 3rd one after having various keys fail... and it's going bad, too! Over the past week the W and L Shift keys stopped working. I'm now using an old Saitek and will get one of the new Enermax Acrylux keyboards when they're available in January. I hope it's as good as the Aurora.

I have three KBs I use all the time, a (Logitech) G19, (Saitek) Eclipse II, and Cyborg... I like them all! I think the best feeling one for touch typing is the eclipse II..
