Necessitates a move to the basement and a little creativity...

You could run a usb extension into the chair itself and jsut have a USB port sticking out the side/top by the mouse and plug it in there...

But pretty cool, my friend did a similar thing except made a keyboard tray that locks into the chair itself along with the mousepad and plays games on his TV cause his room is "under construction"

On the same note, it is also very unnecessary to have 6 posts griping about someone quoting pictures. . . one was plenty sufficient.

On topic: Why does moving to the basement prevent you from bringing at least a small desk and chair down ? ( sure it looks like a tight space down their. . and it probably wouldn't look very good to pack in a desk. . . but lets be honest, it'd look better than swiveling monitors and cords everywhere)

lol @ DumpsterDiver727

Thanks for your positive comments. The move was kinda traumatic at the time (I guess it's one of the ultimate sacrifices a comp. geek can make for his kid - lol), but it's come together not too badly considering my very amateur handyman status. I admit my wire handling leaves a lot to be desired and I tend to be a lot less chatty in games because typing is all but impossible with only a Fang and a mouse...
I apologize for the number of pics. I included. Perhaps a few less and Bryce wouldn't have incurred the wrath of others.
@ holinger, I'm afraid space really is at a premium in my small townhouse. With everything else in the basement (including the growing numbers of kid related toys) I just don't have the room.

Being new here, I just want to complement everyone else on their pics. There are definitely some pretty awesome setups out there.

Thanks again.

awesome gen13 layout. how did you mount those books?

Thanks! They're just up with push pins. All of them are in bags/boards with two push pins through each board. They all slightly overlap so it hides the pins aside from the top row. Would have been a whole lot easier to do not to mention look cooler if it wasn't for this vaulted ceiling I have.

Oh god, get a sense of humor :p Back on topic.. I'm not seeing any eyefinity setups, whats up with that?

Just my simple setup in the living room. Hopefully move to a 2BR+ place next year and have the dual PC room like my bedroom at my parents house, never had a pc in the living room before. Need a new desk too, thing is falling apart moved it so many times.

here is my desk, sorry about quality, taken from my phone, and lighting in my room is super epic fail, basically my monitors are the light. i'll upload better pics tomorrow. planning on redoing my entire room if we don't get kicked out at the end of the month.

@beavermanA, that is some pretty severe sag on that hutch, aren't you worried that its gonna break and kill your monitor?

lol yea, I used to have some rather heavy stuff on there but now its just a few light things. Been like that for years, besides if it falls and destroys my display that will give me a good excuse to the woman I need a shiny new 30" display. And a new desk too, she wouldn't let me get one when we moved in here.

Beaver, that case is (@*&#^(&@*!#^ huge.

Heh indeed, it weighs a ton too. I wanted big though, last build went with a midtower, and half the time I needed to do anything to the pc I'd end up having to take out the mobo and disconnect everything from the psu. Will never use anything but a fulltower again.

Nah its all good, up until I got that LCD in around July, I had my 85lb 22" CRT on the desk as well. Thing is a trooper.

I never understood how someone could have so many gadgets and tech (especially higher-end items) and not have a decent digital camera. I mean it's really not that expensive to have a mid-range camera these days...

I bought my camera back when 6MP was one of the best and I never use it much so I never upgraded it. Many people who don't use something much don't tend to keep updated on that specific gadget.

And to be fair, all those pictures look fine to me except for some that look super blurry, but most of them aren't blurry to me at all o_O. Mind pointing out a few things to look for when looking at how bad pictures are because maybe I just don't see it because all of them look fine to me.

I mean obviously the guy has a dual-monitor setup and a 360, and I'm assuming some other goodies. And he's not the only culprit, there are a few others who have what I suspect to be great setups, but can't see clearly because the lack of quality of the camera they use.

I just find it funny someone can spend that much on tech, and not have a DECENT camera.

Not a lack of quality, just a lack of understanding how to use it properly.

If you're in a low light situation you need a flash to compensate for the lack of light, or you need a tripod to hold the camera steady when it uses a longer shutter speed. Most people don't have tripods laying around so they take the picture by hand, and nobody is perfectly steady for an extended period of time so it comes out blurry.

You can take decent, in-focus pictures with a 5 year old 2 megapixel digital camera if you know what the settings mean and have a tripod...

as i said when i posted, would get a new pic up didn't realize that it was as bad as it was till i linked in here LOL. and it was taken with my env2, which doesn't have flash at all so low light is killer on it. the only other camera i have is like a 1mp, gonna go find it and get some new pics.

and to me a camera isn't a big one for me, i use one maybe once every 6 months for a couple pics to update mods rigs on EVGA and other places.

No worries, I hardly use a camera all that much nowadays either. Though you guys should think about grabbing a decent camera for like $50-75, at least during Black Friday / Cyber Monday.
