The hot new trend on Craigslist? Advertisements asking for sex…errr, I mean “favors” for rent.

The housing slump and recession have sparked ads on Craig’s List and other classified Web sites essentially asking financially distressed women to trade sex for free rent and housing. Such ads appear on the Phoenix Craig’s List site, and they’ve also appeared in other major U.S. markets.

Not new been on CL since Day one (back when it was just Craig's list.)
 
I would trade my "favors" for a nice place on the beach with a divorced woman no older than 40.
 
Perhaps one day, in a gender-equal society, men could offer favors for free rent.

Some of these people just want a housemate that can clean the whole house and do chores, in return for free room and board. I see no problem with that, when sex isn't involved. Its like a live-in maid.
 
DAMN IT.....I didn't have to get married after all there are better ways to get sex everyday.

Pfffttt.... It's not reprehensible. It's perfect.

Now I don't have to waste the added time of speaking to them in say a social setting. Besides, with a month to month, it's easy to change out as often as necessary.
 
i always wondered if it was possible to throw in sexual requirements as contractual obligations of marriage. like a certain number of sexual acts per week was necessary or the partner would be in violation of the prenuptial and could risk being forced out of the marriage/house and losing any claim to alimony.

im still curious if this is possible. because if it isn't, im really just never getting married. what the point of giving up sex, still paying for the little you get, and then getting penalized big time when you go out and pay for it or find it somewhere else.

any laywers here?

I'd never do it personally - I like to know women are into me for my many qualities which don't involve my checkbook - but I fail to see how this is reprehensible.

Consent is consent.

When I lived in Seattle I had this setup for a bit she actually just gave me cash to pay my rent (was not living with her) but to this day still the most non attractive person I ever slept with.

But when I moved away she did give me my Colt Commander I have now so that was nice of her.
