MW2 not working?!

I updated the Directx and it didnt help...

I'm going to try and install on a different computer and see if it works.

You guys thanks for the help. Please keep he ideas coming
 
Well I tried to install the game in my OLD computer and it works fine...

Why do I hate my NEW computer so much now
 
Use Revo Uninstaller to completely wipe MW2 from your system and then retry it.
 
I think you're main problem is that you are using Win7 x64,
as you know MechWarrior 2 (MW2) was designed for DOS, and later it was ported to Windows.

I´d recommend to you to use Dosbox
the other alternative would be to try searching Activision's site for a patch that would allow you to play in WinXP mode ;)

I played COD6 with Win7 x64 RTM and it worked just fine. No need for compatibility mode. It has something to do with his PC config.

Edit: Not sure if this was suggested already. Uninstall your current drivers... fully uninstall. Reboot and install the latest... if these are latest install them again. Make sure your using the 64bit version of the drivers not 32. Redownload through ATI again just in case there was an internal update and they did not bother mentioning.

I wish it was that simple. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the latest ATI drivers.
