Just finished making my new desk last night. I rescued a hardwood table top and made some legs out of steel tubing. my original plan was to have only one leg on the near left side and attach it the the wall on the back and right side. Turns out the wall is pretty shitty so I added 2 extra legs (didn't have enough spare tubing for a 4th lol) and stabilized it with 3 L joints, 2 on the right at either corner, and one on the back on the middle. Everything is bolted together...

HP 8250 ftw. Mine's going on ~3-4 years, and has been a great printer.

Anyway, nice clean setup!

Looking at getting the KRK Rokit 6's myself. Did you "really" need the sub or just added it because? I am debating if I need to get that to start with or just start with the Rokit 6's
I didn’t really need it, but I wanted it… Didn’t feel right not to have a complete set… :D but that’s just me… :) Just start with the Rokit 6’s… Get used to how they sound first.. you’ll appreciate the sub later on… The bass on my Rokit 5’s are already really good… So I’m assuming the 6’s would be better…

willy88, you have a very clean setup and an even better view. I like that room a lot. Can you take pics of the whole thing?
Thanks! :) That’s basically my whole room. The wall on the right of the bed is the end of my room. It’s a double bed and the other corner is just my bookcase and wardrobe.. :)

wow i love the view. if you dont mind me asking, what state do you live in?
Thank! :) I’m actually in Sydney, Australia… :)

The view in my room is pretty nice, but I’m more proud of the view from my lounge/balcony.. Here are a few pics…

20" SGI Trinitron? I grabbed one of those from a skip few years back & used it for ~6 months, nice monitor!

Well time for an update here...moved to a new apartment and I went from this as seen here:

to this, minimalist, neat, tidy, not the usual [H] fare :p and went to Mac  (loving VM Ware though for my Penguin fix ;) )..since its all in my lounge room now I wanted something that was less like a server cabinet and more like a lounge room hehehe!

I have a shelf just like that, but its black. What did you use to lay on top of each shelf/cage? Just cut some wood and paint it? Can anyone recommend the best solid thing to use to lay on top of the wire shelves?

@ willy88

Nice set up, and great view. I think its about time we switched apartments. You move here to Canada, and Ill move to Australia....SEE, EVERYBODY WINS:p

Riveninside, your setup looks a bit outdated, i guess its time to go i7 :D

i think my desktop would have a REALLY FUN time trying to support W7 lmao.... it's a little old 2500+ and 1 gb of 2700 ram! woot woot :)

and fully agreed, untill i get the cash for a LCD, this has been working for everything i need it to, plus it was only $45 and i got it like 4 years ago and hasnt faded or gone discolored :D

little outdated yes, but when you're strapped for cash, it's the best i can do! :)

my computer/gaming setup. the other arm is missing a screen, took it off tell i can afford one the same size.

My shelves are made by a mob called Easy Build and they have a full range of accessories to go with them, purchased from a shop called Howard's Storage World here in Australia - http://shop.hsw.com.au/index.php?subcategory&id_cat=10&id_dept=41

Each sheet was $15.00 and they are all pre-cut and ready to go, I needed to do something nice as the shelves are now living in my loungeroom and wanted more of a 'lounge' feel to my setup rather than a 'server rack' setup :D
