Suggest me a mobo. for i7 860!

Hello Friends,

I m gonna buy i7 860 ( off microcenter for $230 is it good deal? ) because socket 1156 mobo. is cheaper than 1366. Can anyone suggest me good cheaper mobo ( ASUS and gigabyte preferred ) for i7 860? :)

$135 - Gigabyte P55-UD3R

$135 - ASUS P7P55D

You can shave about $10-15 off of each by going with the Gigabyte P55-UD3L and ASUS P7P55D LE, respectively.
 
Since you live near a Microcenter, the i7-920 D0 + Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R is a superior choice at the same price compared to the i7-860 + Gigabyte P55-UD3R. The 920 D0 overclocks easier, higher, has better featured mobo, better upgrade path, and avoids the whole socket 1156 burn issue altogether. The only reason to go with the 860 is if you don't plan on overclocking at all.

You're not going to get much past 3.5Ghz on either if sticking with the retail cooler. If money is that tight, you can get a 1366 adapter bracket for your OCZ Vendetta 2 and reuse it. Search for part# OCZTFORC2V2
