With no dedicated servers for PC, who doesnt care and will still buy it? I was on the fence with PC before, and still am.

I'm buying for the PC. It's always nice to have a game that you can find a full or near full server at any time of the day. This game is too big to fail imo and I have yet to play a bad COD game and I've played all the PC titles, so until that changes IW will have my money. Yes I know about the supposed lack of ded. servers but IW (and Treyarch) have gained my trust over the years in making solid fun games with lots of replayability, so until that changes I will continue to buy their games but with hesitation of course. From all the media I've seen of this game so far it looks like it'll be another hit. I completely understand why so many people are planning on not buying the game though considering the price and lack of ded. servers.

I might pick it up for the PC when it hits bargain-price, since hopefully LAN will still work fine. COD4 and a heap of other FPS games are keeping the LANs with my friends afloat pretty well though, with nobody being big enough fans of COD to warrant much interest in CODMW2.

I'll buy the game for PC as I loved the first one. I'll give IW a chance on this one.

picking it up for the 360 on day 1, and probably the pc when prices drop in a few months

When it hits $40 (gift card discounts dont count). $60 is outrageous for a game especially for PC. And besides, I am no rush to get it.

Day 1 console. CoD4 was the most fun I have ever had with a multiplayer console FPS.

I agree. I'll get it eventually, but not right away unless someone has it on sale for $40 and that's not looking very likely.

I am definately not getting it for console because i'll end up getting a PC version. For PC I can wait a bit to see what happens with it, if nothing changes i'll wait even longer until I can find a really good price.

PC version. I could bitch about this and that but I'll just be glad to play a fun game.

I was thinking about getting it for PC, but with the dedicated server news I'll probably just grab it for Xbox.

I'd perfer on PC but most friends will have it on 360, there will be alot more people likley on 360./

still buying because the campaign is going to be worth it for me. basically multiplayer just turned into xbox live. thats disappointing. I also think its awesome that the price went up 10 bucks to $59 on PC for less multiplayer options. great.

Fuck no. If we buy the game it is just like telling IW and every other pc game developer that it is ok to fuck us over. I won't stand for it, and neither should you guys single player or not. This is our chance to make a change, don't fuck us over by buying the game.

please take the poll to heart; no one gives a shit about MW2. I'm about to abandon this section of HardOCP until this crap is over with.

Never really found the 4th one to be that great. Seemed like a arcadish grenade chuck fest

I am pretty shocked at the poll with 1 vote for "I don't like FPS games" that's like saying you hate bacon! evil bastard!

I was definitely going to buy it until the news about dedicated servers. Now I won't touch it with a ten foot pole. If dedicated servers return, I will buy.

Pre-ordered for the PC. Can't wait for it and while I'd prefer dedicated servers, I am excited about the matchmaking system.

No friends? I'm guessing you are not a competative player either or else you would be concerned about the lag involved on non dedicated servers.

Nothing personal against you(honestly). It's just that your the reason the hardcore FPS community is getting shit on.

PC + Console here. All my buddies play on the 360 so I need it for that. Then I like gaming by myself on the PC... So I'll pick both up. normally do

xbox live has never had dedicated servers, and with todays standard home connections, are they really needed? NO

Oh, I have several friends buying the game. I also am not a 'competitive player' and I'm not concerned about the potential for lag in this P2P system.

Something I hated about Call of Duty 4 was that I couldn't find a good, small server. The maps were tailor-made for 12 people and hopefully with IW.net I'll be able to party up with some buddies and just play the game.

No dedicated servers, no buy. Especially at 60 bucks. Don't know how you people can buy this garbage at that price.

I saw the $60 price and laughed, Game looked ok but I'd rather wait then pay that

Don't fuck YOU over?

Everyone weighs everything differently. While I would like dedicated servers, I'll still enjoy the game without them. It is worth MY $60, which I worked for and am free to spend as I please. While I understand your point, no one that wants to buy MW2 is going to pass just because there is a group of people complaining about it.

Won't matter what you say or how hard you try, mw2 is still going to be a big hit even on PC. Yes the lack of dedicated servers is a real pain for some but really it's not a big deal for the majority. Look at Starcraft 2's lack of LAN play and Battlenet is going to be required for multi and c&c 4 was announced to require online connection. Big pc titles are moving in that direction whether you like it or not sadly. I've got mw2 preordered and I'm looking forward to sc2 and c&c 4 even with their respective "handicaps".
