I only saw this just now.

Mass Effect 2 will launch simultaneously on the 360 and the PC on Jan. 26'th of next year. That's a real shocker for me, because I had been expecting this in late March or maybe even in April sometime.

Wow. That is just great news. The end of January is typically a horrible time for PC gaming, of course, so it'll be great to be able to buy a game that I've been waiting a long time for. The weather at that time of the year is just god awful as well - perfect though for staying inside playing computer games.

sweeet ME was pretty good. the combat was great and i liked the customizable skills but the side quests got ultra redundant.

Sweet!!!

So, if I remember correctly, it uses your save game from when you beat ME1 to continue the story? I need to see if I have a backup of my saves!

Oh hell ya! Loved this game. Cant wait to see if it works with my NVision set up :D

Can't wait for the sequel, one of the few pc games I actually enjoy and finished ;)

I'm going to need to buy ME1 for the PC and play through it again. I played on the 360 the first time, but no way I'll buy ME2 for the 360 if its available on PC.

Was the PC version done well? Haven't checked the reviews yet, just wondering if anyone here knew.

The original Mass Effect was one of the only console ports I've ever seen that didn't suck balls. Hell, my only complaint was that there was no jumping.

Will be buying this.

ME 2 looks surprisingly better visually than the first game. Of course you expect it to look a little bit better - but not by this much.

Also, I wonder if ME 2 is being released in early January because in February Bioshock 2 is releasing? Bioware is kind of cutting ME 2 off at the pass. It might be a sneaky move, this. And then Assassin's Creed 2 should be right behind.

For me personally it doesn't matter because all three of those titles are day one for me, but not everyone buys a new game every two weeks.

I pre ordered Dragon Age Origins CE just so I could get the red dragon armor for ME2. Can't wait for either lol.

it does ;). I'm really excited about getting it

Actually, the PC had a great deal of enhancements added to it over the 360 version. Inventory was revamped, they fixed many of the bugs that plagued the 360 copy, fixed the vehicle operation, improved team communication and commands. I was really pleased that Bioware decided to take the PC version very seriously and ME1 is definitely one of my favorites.

Bioware ported over ME and Jade Empire really well in my opinion. I will be buying this game at launch. I just hope that this time you can land on more planets...

I still haven't played through Mass Effect 1, even though I've owned it for a long while. I guess I should get working on that with ME2 so close  !

I loved the first, and am very much looking forward to the new one. I should finish my second play of the first one now. (was playing it again to check out BDtS) Then I'll also have a saved character to use.

I'm stoked. I finished the first game on the 360 a week after it came out, and I've been waiting for this ever since. Since my 360 bit the dust, I bought Mass Effect on Steam and replayed it just so I would have a nearly maxed out character ready. Here's to hoping that they expand on the backstory. There's a lot of potential there, and Bioware has some decent skills in the department.

January launch sounds good. Should provide plenty of time between Borderlands, Dragon Age and this.

The weather is what will sort out the weak from the strong; the dedicated midnight launch fans to the average day 1 fans. CANT F*CKING WAIT!

Yeah I just finished the last DLC for ME1. Downloaded it and cranked it out in about 2 hours. Can't wait for the next one.
