[H]OT - Two 5lbs Tubs of Optimum Whey Nutrition - $66 shipped

i findvery wide grip (like an exaggerated y) are difficult to do. Shoulder width or slightly wider are kinda easy (I can get 11-12) but I know people that can do 25-30. My pushing muscles are better than my pulling muscles.

Yeah, the very wide grip pull-ups are the hardest. I can easily do over 20 pull-ups at a slightly wider than shoulder stance. But I can't bench my weight 20 reps ... probably about 15-16. And dips ... I can do them 'til the cows come home (I get bored after 40-50). So I can't quite say if my pulling muscles are stronger than my pushing ones. My shoulders suck though - maybe I can do a military press just 1 rep of my weight. :(

how much do you weigh?I'm heavy right now (203) due to bulking the entire summer to recover from my surgeries (meniscus + appendicitis right after). I plan on cutting the start of december. I can't shoulder press my own weight and I have stronger shoulders than most my age. I can rep out 80lb dumbells rather easily, which I don't see done much except by big guys.

I read the title after quickly browsing as "Two 5lbs Tubs of Opium Nutrition - $66 shipped"

:p

Instead of hating on the guys that put out the effort to work hard, use it as motivation to stay under the weights or on the treadmill, etc.

(Just for the guys coming in the thread to give folks a rough time.)

I'm about 150. That sux about the surgeries, but once you recover, I'm sure you'll be back to your old maxes.

Hey, um about the bouncing thing u mentioned.... Ye thats horrible for you, you wanna argue hurting your knees over hurting your knees and compacting your disks in your back?

BTW, i have plenty of test, i'ma meso i grow muscle like crazy. How many guys can do alternating ass flex (i.e. think alt pec flex). I think you also mis-interpreted my saying i workout for pussy as i can't get pussy unless i workout which is not the case... I have an 8 pack 24/7 365 and i NEVER do core work, and i could care less if you believe that.

thread bump for ass flex boasting . Sherloc, why do you feel the need to qualify yourself to a bunch of screen names on the internet? you've worked hard for your physique man....just enjoy it and quit fighting non-existent battles.

sort of on topic, i just ordered 2 5lb tubs of Gaspari MyoFusion from BB.com. it seems a lot of people on their boards like it...supposedly tastes better than ON. i'll report back after it's delivered with the verdict.

5lb Gaspari MyoFusion, $42.99 on BB.com

Oh wow...have you ever done a proper ATG squat before?

Hmmm...since we're boasting here have a look at one of mine 30 min "light" workouts.

Some numbers are somewhat pathetic though...I've started seriously doing bodyweight exercizes about 2 months ago but school is getting in teh way.

Lets see on Tuesday I did the following:

100 jumping jack warm up
bench 205lbs x 12
20 push ups
50 flutter kicks
12 pull ups
bench 205lbs x 6
200 flutter kicks
12 pull ups
30 push ups
100 flutter kicks
bench 205lbs x 4
20 push ups
20 pull ups ( do 8-9 till failure, 20 sec break then 3-4 more, 20 sec, 3-4 until 20)
100 flutter kicks
30 push ups
100 flutter kicks
8 pull ups
30 push ups
50 leg raises
10 pull ups
30 push ups.

Took me about 30 min to finish that...mroe or less nonstop except for a couple 20 sec breaks.

How do you have defined core if you dont even do any core exercizes?
Also 5'8, 185lbs, still a lot of flab left over from my hardcore gaming/drinking days. I hate cutting :(

How do you have defined core if you dont even do any core exercizes?

direct core work isn't necessarily required if you perform compound lifts, olympic lifts, etc. there are many ways to hit your core without doing crunches and the like. for example, right now i'm running a cycle of unilateral lifts. so instead of grabbing two DB's and performing a flat benchpress, just grab one and do one side at a time (same goes for single-arm shoulder press, lat pulldowns, single leg deadlifts, etc). the weight discrepency engages your core like you wouldn't believe. you'll feel sore in muscles you never knew you had :)

DeadSkull, that look like a great 1/2 hr. workout. What's a flutter kick? (I guess I can Google that tonight when I'm home if I remember.) You were probably soaked in sweat after that.

Last week, I went out drinking w/ a couple friends. I wasn't driving, so I had quite a bit. The other 2 guys working at the same company, which has a 24x7 gym that's pretty nice. One guy asked me about my pull-ups. I told him that even in my state of stupor, I should do 10 easily. So after I got pretty loaded, we went to their work gym. I jumped up to do pull-ups. And I fell right back down. I completely missed the bar. They laughed. I was determined. So I jumped up again. And caught the bar. And I cranked out 20 - even with heavy street clothes! They were both like "holy crap!" - esp. the other guy whom I had never met before.

When I'm in light gym clothes and sober, I can do 25 pull-ups on a good day.
