it's hilarious how everyone works out on the internet. 80-90% of the people that say they workout can't squat their own bodyweight :p

Btw i can do 1 legged squats with dumbells in my hands. FYI most people that can squat a ton don't have the balance to do one legged squats, similar to one armed pushups...

Cool. On a serious note, I saw a chick at my gym doing one-legged squats (no dumbbells). Very impressive. And yes, she's got a hell of a body without looking too Miss Universe like.

A friend despises most mass market protein shakes b/c he said the fake sugar they use in the powder is toxic. He's one of those pro-organic extremists and said taking such protein supplements is poisoning my body. Thoughts on this?

not a fan of artificial sweeteners but I wouldnt worry much about it in your whey
just make sure your drinking a good amount of water and I'd guess your body will cycle whatever byproducts from the whey efficiently

Yeah, I agree, and I try to drink 8 cups of water everyday.

I also don't consume too much artificial sugar (I typically shun soda, diet or otherwise), so that should help keep my consumption of these chemicals in moderation.

I don't have a digital camera my parents do, so as i'm at college i can't exactly take a pic, i'll load some of my facebook pics up but most of them aren't that current (1 month or older). When i say i'm 145, thats without water weight when i'm in show shape. I am 5' 7.5"

The image below was taken Aug 9th but has bad angle on arms, yet you can see the noticeable seperation in trap, delt, and pec.

your 1rm of squats is 315? Kind of weak compared to your bench+curl numbers (just commenting, no harm intended). And why are you posting your show weight with your 1rm numbers? lol.

Um, glad you noticed my squat to bench weight seems odd. Ye, i would like Arnold's physique not Ronnie Colemans. As to the stats comment, it seems you may need a seeing eye dog? I don't think they make monitors that display braille do they, lawl! I was asked to post stats and pics... Keep simp'n that hateraide and go crawl back under your bridge. No one asked people to come in here and hate it up, if you want workout/diet advice fine otherwise i dont see a purpose for u posting atall...
And my weight right now is 148 to make you happy. I put up new shrug max this past Thursday of 1 rep max 405 lbs. 2 second hold no bs.\

P.S. Hating shows your own feelings of insecurity...
 
Since this thread has gotten off topic a long time ago, I'll contribute to the derailment.

Which of the activities do you find easiest to do to hardest to do: Benching your body weight, unassisted pull-ups, unassisted dips?

For me, by far the easiest is doing dips, followed by pull-ups then bench press.

I repped out 385 for 8 reps in squats today, I'm not insecure, but thanks? You are very lean though and strong for your weight, so congrats. Ronnie Coleman's physique compared to Arnold is due to different sauce (gyno wuttt). Arnold was a monster at squatting. 315 for 1 rep is weak compared to your bench numbers, sorry, it just is. My flat bench numbers are weak compared to my squat numbers if it makes you feel any better. If anyone needs a seeing eye dog, It's you. I didn't berate you for posting your stats, in fact I posted mine (and then removed them as I don't like posting numbers). All I said was l mf'in ol @ posting 1 rm with your show weight. Maybe you need to start doing eye exercises.


weighted dips are cake,Then benching own body weight, then pullups.

What grip for pullups?

Maybe cause i do squats seldom to never and focus on pistol squats as i like to keep my flexibility and my back for the ladder portion of my life (i don't like bar in front squats that much either)... Also you can rep 385 squats but how about doing 1 pistol squat let alone repping them without falling down and having ur butt 3 inch from the ground. TBH the only reason i work out atall is to get pussy, and the way you do that is with definition not size... well with the girls i'm after neway its definition. So i could put up huge numbers in squats and have massive legs and most likely it would be a turnoff to many women.
 
Overhand grip for real pull-ups as opposed to chin-ups that some people do instead.

I think overhand grip is chin ups. Underhand (more focus on bis less on forearms) is pull ups.

Pistol squats arent good for you especially if you add weight to the equation. The point of the squat is to be able to use the bouncing motion of contact in both legs. IE you are not supposed to pause at the bottom at all, thats actually bad for your knees. You are supposed to use bounce when your hamstrings smack into your calves (proper ass to grass form) and push the weight back up.

Squats + deads = more testosterone dude. Plus chicks dig a nice tight ass and if you add some more confidence into equation ( due to squats/deadz ) you shouldnt have problem with any of them.

overhand wide hits lats harder, and they're pulls. Underhand hit's bi's harder, and they're chins.

Actually, it's the other way around. Pull-ups is overhand grip, which focuses more on the back. Chin-ups, which is underhand grip, focuses more on biceps like you said.
