Hey guys, I know these threads keep popping up, but I need help. *Before I start, wouldn't it be better if there was a thread specifically for these types of questions? Just a thought.

Anyways I'm looking for a laptop sub 500 that needs to be at a retail store like Best Buy, CompUSA, OfficeMax, etc. I cannot order things online as my folks don't like to. I've checked out two that caught my eye at BB and I'd like your opinion on them. I dont really game on PC, but I'd like to have the option to play some games like GTA San Andreas or Fable; nothing new really as I primarily game on PS3. Last game I played on PC was Doom 2 way back when I was like 6 so I'm sure it can handle those types of games. Battery life has to be at least 3 hours. Would like to view HD stuff without any stuttering. Thats about it I guess. I'm not too picky on designs, weight, brand.

Here are the two that caught my eye:

At first I was thinking of going the netbook route, but since they currently can't play HD video I'm holding off on one. I'm on the fence really...:( Buy a laptop or wait it out for the newer netbooks. I like the portability and the size of the smaller netbooks, but right now theres nothing out on the market. Lenovo S12 Ion based netbook wont be out for who knows and the Samsung N510 netbook is gonna be $600  which is a huge amount for a netbook; plus for that price you could get a better laptop I assume.

A little help?

Thanks, One2The3
