overclocking graphics cards: looking for a guide

there probably are if you do some google searches.. but honestly overclocking a gfx cards pretty straight forward.. depending on what card you have.. ATI and Nvidia both have overclocking available in the drivers.. with nvidia you need to get ntunes and install that to enable the overclocking in the drivers..

if you are using an EVGA card they have EVGA percision.. or you can use Rivatuner to overclock both ATI and nvidia cards..

then use Furmark to stress test the card to make sure its stable by looking for artifacts while it runs.. if it artifacts or crashes then you know its not stable..

guide??
you don't need a guide!
you just need to ask us
we'd be happy to help you out :)

I've messed with RivaTuner before, but I couldn't find anything that appeared to be realated to overclocking. The cards are EVGA GTX 260s, so I'll take a look at EVGA precision. I might as well look at nTune as well.

Stay far, far away from nTune. It's caused numerous blue screens for me in the past.

That looks to be exactly what I need. Thanks a bunch.

Anyone have an idea of what to expect out of one (and two when my RMA gets back) water cooled GTX 260s?

just google GTX260 216 core reviews and look at all their overclocks should give you a rough estimate of what to shoot for..
