i believe so, i have one and it runs just a tad slower than my 150gb velociraptor so it is fast.

Wasn't planning on getting HDs just yet as I just spent a boatload on a receiver, but this is a great deal.

I have a 1TB Caviar Black as my backup drive and yes, that thing is FAST. Fastest 7200rpm drive I've ever seen. They are now the only 7200 drive I recommend for performance systems.
 
I needed another/replacement OS drive, and picked this up; was waiting for the black 640 to go on sale, but I can't wait any longer. The seek time is a little slower on this one, but, it's probably better than the aging one's I'm using now. Anyone else like the speed of the 750?
 
anyone know how this drive compares to the 6400 AAKS? just a little faster or does it smoke it? (my 6400AAKS is runnin strong, but id trade in if it was a big difference)

Wasn't there also a 10% off with Bing going on thru the end of June. Do a search with Bing for anything on Newegg, use the ad link with the percentage off and then go to the daily deal.
 
I have a 150gb Raptor (the non- VelociRaptor version). Would this be a decent drive to replace it for an OS drive? I also have the WD6400AAKS and a WD3200AAKS and just wondering what would be the best configuration if I were to get this 750 for my new Windows 7 machine. I want to replace the Raptor as it's just too noisy.

Wouldn't I need an expensive RAID Controller card for that? My Raptor isn't a VelociRaptor, at least I don't think it is. (WD1500ADFD is the model number)
