need a new cheap 775 that will make do till a huge upgrade in January.

and another for the E5200; just put one in a SFF, runs cool and does the job well, (travel LAN box.)

I have four of the dual core 2.0ghz Allendale Celerons I don't know what to do with. Newegg was giving them away free with Acera RAID controllers for some reason...

Idk, what will you be using it for? Will you oc? Ive had a few e2200's and they oc like crazy. If a 3ghz dual will get you through, then just pick up one of those (Ive seen ~$40 used).

we'll see how well it overclocks, my current mobo is a 610i chipset and will get my E2180 to 3.1ghz. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it sucks. Read the reviews people have had good luck overclocking the 45nm chips with the motherboard. I doubt you could say that with the first mobo you linked especially. The last one you linked people seem to have trouble with overclocking specifically the 45nm chips. Just because something is a newer chipset also doesn't mean it's better.

Have been going with cheap brand name mobos since the athlon xp days and have always been happy. I also have learned the hard way to never buy newegg open box items.

I've always had bad luck with cheap mother boards, I only buy Asus except last year when they were having trouble so I bought an Abit. Do you have random lockup's or BSD's with the cheap MB's?

Sorry to go off-topic, but I might want to buy one for $20? I'm building a File server and need something cheap. I might consider your CPU.

That G31 board is pretty good. For the extra $7, I'd get the G41, but it's not like it's a terrible choice for a motherboard. My G31 OC'd as well as my P5Q Pro does in most cases.

wow I didn't expect a PM storm nor any activity on these. All four are gone now to a good home. :D

I <3 my E2200. Best CPU for the money I have ever owned (and i'm usually an AMD guy).

3.1ghz on stock air
