Photos of Desktop, Laptop, or Monitors that have been through battles, scratched, painted, stickered, parts missing.. Show us those items you have that are still surviving.

Hmm... well this computer isn't mine. But the retailer I worked for (before they went under ) got a shipment of damaged laptops, a while back.

Here are a few shots:

(The boxes looked fine, lol)

thought about it... just don't think I'd ever fix it... heh... you could take all the pieces out and probably make a small profit... -_-

But it'd be hard to find a replacement "back" for it...

Just a few rivets to pop out and slap in a backing from another case.. looks the same give or take a rivet spot

here is a hand me down - Apple PowerBook G4 550MHz 15" Titanium i never used it , looks pretty beat up

It's fair to say this Pentium II HP Omnibook 4150 I have in my wardrobe has seen better days. I bought it cheap of eBay a while back.

Interesting.. while your able to still use most parts of your screen :p

Do you have future plans for that laptop ?

If I can find it, I will post the pics from my old Alpha's run in with a 10 Gauge shotgun with magnum slugs...

I tossed the complete machines I shot up. I do however have a 680i SLI board on my bench that I shot up with a .500 Magnum, 5.56x45mm and 5.7x28mm rounds.

I'll see if I can find my shots from some of the Sun decommission parties.

It took quite some work to get an entire SPARCserver1000E with it's craptastic disk cabinet up to the roof, then push it off. And repeat this two more times for the spares.

EDIT: No. We did NOT have a freight elevator to the roof, Genie lift, or crane access. (They specifically forbade us from the crane and hid the keys.)

so i work at geeksquad (hold you comments plz haha... its just a job!)

had a customer come in and his wireless card was physically broken meaning the computer would need service... so as i was explaining what we found he got real pissed off and was like "THIS #$#$ COMPUTER YOU GUYS ARE ##$#$HOLES WHO CANT DO #@$"... took the computer... opened it and proceeded to smash it on the counter then stormed away... leaving me in shock like wtf??

funny is all he really had to do was buy a USB wireless adapter, which is what i was going to tell him but he beat me to it by smashing the shit out of his computer, and the computer would have been fine... (or send it out for out of warranty service but that might get pricey)

must. resist... commenting...

lol seriously though I've had people done that too, some people are so ignorant....

damn thats messed up. people are crazy.

you can buy a replacement mini pci wireless card on ebay for like $15. no need to send it out.

yeah but working for bestbuy i cant just be like "go on ebay and buy one"... we have to folow guidelines :p haha as shitty as they are

and yes those guidlines are the ones that make bestbuy the most money haha

haha its just a job for now.... and some of us do know what we are doing... although there is lots that DONT... (to many stories from the inside haha)

@Atherton213,
i think i understand his anger at that toshiba,
i had a toshiba brought for my education from my social worker,
vista ran so slowly on it that by the time i got a new word document the battery went flat.
i attempted to install XP but the bios blocked it and DOS. so i put linux onto it. after the install messed up (happens from time to time) i reinstalled it and attempted to install open office. but it updated pointlessly the system as well and wouldnt boot properly. then i attempted to install xp again after a successful bios update to no avail, so i installed vista and found out that i some how ran out of bootloaders:confused::
Grub X.X loading...

xx failed

so i found out how to install a non PE install of xp to USB. it booted well but it erased all of my college work after less than a week (whilst creating a repetitive beeping noise), i thought it was a bad drive so i smashed it at the floor after removing its USB-IDE converter, i installed xp again on a flash drive (bad move as it took 5+mins to boot and 3 days to install!) it erased it's self again (creating the repetitive beeping noise). so i smashed it screen down against my knee whilst lifting the battery out so it doesnt get dammaged in the process. Wish I had Pic's of it after.
the screen was bent outwards but the base was alright, kinda like this: ))||. i got away in selling it as a thin client after some modding.

Lesson i learnt:
DO NOT BUY A TOSHIBA NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP/ETC...!

reason i could'nt take it back is the social worker was being awkward, also i over heard his conversation about netbooks (what i origionally asked for):
"Yeah... Those netbooks are far more expensive than a notebook for their little power and size."

I bought the mom that similar Toshiba A210 and xp installed without a hitch. Just need to change the bios setting for the hard disk ( someone might remember what it's called ) yeah.

Here is one for ya!

This is what happens with a 500' roll of 16g wire falls on your laptop. The only thing damaged was the LCD. The computer still runs fine hooked to an external LCD/KB/Mouse.

this post might warrant me subscribing to this thread...

 Woah ! On the safe side, an lcd can be cheap if you know where to look.. Often $100 - $300 second hand.

Please do subscribe ( which tends to happen on the fist post you make ) lol..

No more damaged 'puterz?? No one has shot an old laptop with bullets yet?
