I've almost decided it's dead, but here goes:

A few days ago my resolution mysteriously reset and I couldnt figure out why, the next few days, the computer began having serious resolution issues like not resizing windows properly when entering/exiting MediaPortal (the prog I use)...All of a sudden two days ago, the HDMI cut out totally, i tried unplugging, replugging the HDMI cable to the TV, trying a new HDMI cable, and resetting the CMOS, but no go. The only thing I havent tried is taking out the mobo's battery.

System was using XP SP3 with no issues and all latest drivers/updates/BIOS. Mobo was a biostar 6100 tforce w/ HDMI. The fans spin, but its still a no go, and mobo LED lights turn on too.

I ordered an ASUS M3N 8200-series baord to replace the system, but if anyone has any last ditch ideas, lets hear em! :)

Have you tried hooking up VGA or DVI to the board to see if the board displays video at all?

No, but I could do that. I'm figuring that even if it is a dead HDMI port only, and the VGA/DVI work.....the mobo is no use to me really. I carry digital audio/video over my HDMI to my TV setup.

Could it be from unplugging/repluggint eh HDMI cable allot? Like 3-5 times a day? Maybe some static shock or something through the cable to the mobo fried it? My second HDMI port on my panasonic TV is fried and my cable box/htpc need to use one HDMI port, so i replug them both when needed....

Could be..the only way to find out is try the VGA/DVI to make sure it's not other issues with the board..etc. In my experience Biostar has not been the best quality when it comes to mb's..but i'm sure any board pulling the HDMI cable in and out several times will take it's toll eventually unless you are carefull each time. I would also try pulling the CMOS battery out as well.
