As the title suggests, I am currently about to move out of my house to a new place and I no longer need my A/C unit because my new place will have Central A/C. I took a look at the Radiators and they seem to be made of copper. Do you think if it is a good idea to use those radiators with my initial DD Black Ice GT and Black ICE II? I am looking to cool the CPU and GPU and probably end up cooling the Chipset as well. I was wondering if you guys here at [H] think it will make a huge difference if I were to add one of the A/C copper radiators to the loop.

If there already is a topic like this and includes work logs or pictures, please redirect me there.

`much appreciated, Jenga.

Nope not a good idea. Those are not made for water. And here is another thing to think about, many of us have our computer(s) in a closed room, bedroom, office, etc. and the room will get warn as hell. With central air you have to open the door to the room etc which leaves your machine(s) vunerable to attack by all sorts of 4 and 2 legged rug rats. Or you have to crank the AC for the whole house to "ice cubes please" and watch the electric bill go into orbit. A window AC for the computer room is a great thing to have laying around even with central air.

But mainly that rad is not going to work very well for water, it will not kill (well the AC unit doh!) anything to try it, but if you really dont want the AC unit I would ebay or craiglist it for $50- whatever and buy a WCing specific rad.

Besides if you rip out the rad (actually the evaporator most likely) you are still left with an AC chassis that has to be hauled to the dump.

Unless that AC is dead I really suggest you dont tear it up. More trouble than it is worth.

Okay made up my mind. I just need to borrow a ladder that can extend 20 feet high so i can install my AC unit :D
