any way to do this?

I am going to be running a dual monitor setup, 2209wa's with a 512mb card

there are two outputs on the car to hook up the monitors, but how can I switch between two or thee boxes

I currently use a 4 port KVM, but it only has input out put for ONE monitor

is there another option?

thanks

Use multiple KVMs? Outside of professional KVMs I'm not sure I have seen ones which support dual+ monitors.

so, how would that hook up?

2 outputs on the 512mb card, but only one monitor out on my other two boxes....

how do I hook it up>?

thanks

...But if only one of your systems has dual outputs, then why do you need to even switch that monitor? Just leave it hooked up directly and switch the other. When you upgrade your other systems to dual outputs, then you can worry about finding a dual switcher... :)

well--one is dual out on the vid card, and the other is single out

so, how do I get those to play with my kvm> ?

but , now I did learn that they have "dual out switching ssystems"..

but until I get another vid car with dual outs...to replace my single out vid card........(maybe ill just get a new vid card with dual outs)

what other options do I have?

OK, I must be particularly dense tonight... because I just don't see what the issue is with the equipment you currently have. If you only have one PC with dual outputs, then only that PC will be making use of both monitors. So just hook it up directly to that monitor:

Code:
                            .-------.
PC1 Output 1----------------| LCD 1 |
PC1 Output 2---. |_______|
               | _____ / \
               `--| |
PC2---------------| KVM | .-------.
               .--| |---| LCD 2 |
               | ----- |_______|
PC3------------` / \

Now if in the future you have multiple PCs with dual outputs, then you have two choices:

1) Buy a KVM that can handle dual monitors. For example, http://www.iogear.com/product/GCS1644/ - but these don't seem to be cheap.

2) Buy a second regular KVM (only using the video portion) or as mentioned earlier in this thread, a regular HDMI or DVI switch. Of course you would need to switch two separate items to fully switch back and forth between multiple PCs.
