A friend on mine may get this from Newegg and was wondering if anyone has an opinion and/or experience of video cards coming from the manufacturer with the water block installed. My initial reaction is a great deal, but don't have any real world experience with them

I believe the general consensus for every watercooled vid card from the factory that it is cheaper to buy it that way instead of of the card and the block, but suffers from all the negatives of a full coverage block when time for upgrade/resale... would be especially true considering you probably couldnt sell it a couple years down the line because you dont have the air cooling hardware.

I bought the GTX295 water cooled version from BFG. Buying it with the block installed already takes out the hassle of you having to remove the stock cooling and trying to install the block yourself, especially with the GTX295. Plus the BFG water cooled version comes with their lifetime warranty.

As i have never bought a factory water cooled card i cant really tell you my opinion but im sure theya re very good, but also they might not be for everyone, some people might want to have a Swfitech/EK waterblock instead of a BFG block, also they are fairly expensive when they first come out...
