I certainly hope someone, 3D Realms or not, finishes the game. What was shown from the already developed portions of the game, was awesome. Actually, I think it's best that the guys of the former 3D Realms finish it, because they know what a Duke Nukem game needs.
 
DNF will probably never die, we will see the game one day and probably all be massively disappointed. Way too much hype surrounding this game for it to ever have a chance
 
I mean seriously, first 3D Realms announced they were closing and now they are back? I mean, they had 12 years to develop Duke Nukem Forever and they had nothing to show for it. Don't count on this game being ever released, this is getting stupid really. Just either give up or release the game already.
 
Okay so 3DRealms isn't 'dead'. But how much longer can they stay alive without any money flow? I mean IF DN:F (lol I just realized that the initials stand for 'did not finish') actually makes it into production are they hoping it'll somehow bring them more money than the 20 million they've already spent? I mean the more the prolong dev time for this title the less money they'll make. Or maybe its not about money anymore?!!?

EDIT: If its really not about money anymore, can we get Looking Glass Studios back too? K THX.

I'm really getting sick of hearing about this, especially this latest bit with 3DRealms complaining that they were bullied. I won't go so far as to say this whole thing was a major scam job on their part, but its clear that they live in some fantasy world where they're so important that they should just have money thrown at them for years and years without ever producing a product. This whole ordeal in recent weeks makes it look like they're just trying to weasel out of their obligations because the people paying for it are fed up. Duke Nukem Forever = epic software development fail, from the top on down.

The more I read about DNF the more I have a feeling of deja vu and flashes of Daikatana pop into my head.

My thoughts exactly. I used to be a devout fan and follower. This shit is getting so drawn out. I can't imagine how Duke's gameplay can be fun in this day and age.
