Duke-Nukem-Forever in game video!!

Already seen people bash that video, fact is though we dont know detail levels, we dont know if the art and models were all final or some placeholders, we don't even know when this was recorded, could be several years old.

No clue about where any of that came from, but I think it really looks good. If there was an entire game that looked like that, I'd buy it.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!

Why does god take away good things from us? Seriously this trailer helped to prove Dukes awesomeness.

If they showed that trailer and said the game was still coming out i'd be excited. It looks really fun

The detail level cant be that high, the UT3 engine looks better than that. Probably just needs to be polished a bit.

Looks very fun

Wow this game looks awesome. I hope somebody picks it up. As for the detail level, the graphics might be turned down to maintain FPS if it's unoptimized graphically at this point. I think the game looks pretty good though.

The game is 10+ years old that went through many engine cycles. I didnt expect awesome graphics from it. In all honestly, I didnt think the graphics were that bad, because that footage made the game look really really fun. Hopefully something happens to what they have so we can play.

Wow, I had no idea they had got that far.
This makes me smell a rat, maybe pulling the plug on Duke is a scam to get lots of extra and free publicity?
Not that I mind, I so hope this gets released!

Regarding the football field's low resolution looks..

There's a good reason for that. In the game, that's the first level and you're Duke playing Duke 3D on an arcade.

It's quite ingenious actually. So you start the game playing with this moderate level of tech and play for a few minutes and it's cool, then you zoom out of the arcade screen entirely and you're Duke and everything looks a little shinier and nicer, now you're in the actual game world and it's even more impressive. It's a really cool effect.

The best games (the ones that are still played for 5+ years after release) aren't ones that have great graphics, they are ones that have good game play, so I could really care less about the graphics if this came out as is.

dammit, this looks so much more awsome than I thought it was gonne be :S
Graphic could be better ofc, but style, animations and humor looks great :(

Some of the character animations were stunningly awesome. As for what I've seen from the trailer, it looks like it's in keeping with everything that was duke and made duke a blast.

I don't understand how they could go wrong, and I'd hate to see this fade into obscurity.

Now someone is going to buy the license and those developers won't like the art style so they're going to start from scratch. Time until release of new DNF: 10 years

Well, if they're allowing the development team to showcase their work on DNF in their demo reels, it must be officially dropped. I'm sure some more footage will leak out soon, but that's too bad it ended like this, it looks more promising than I imagined.

that game footage looked awesome.... really really awesome......

3drealms management can go to hell.... but the developers that created that... well i hope they all find good jobs.....

it really did look awesome. Even if the graphics might be outdated, it was Duke through and through. I just can't image what other Duke-ism were in there and what we'll be missing.

Someone needs to pick up this franchise and continue this. I have so many happy memories of Duke 3d and the expansions. I just hope a crappy company (ie. EA) doesn't buy it up and dumb it down to get a lower age rating.

WOW! It looks fucking awesome! The animation is superb! Especially the part where he climbs up that guy and pulls his horns out!.

I hope that someone will pick up the project and finally release it.

Wow... They were actually working on a game? :p

Jokes aside, I'm sad to see this, looks like it maintained the spirt of Duke very well, looks like it might of been a decent game when it came out(if ever). Too bad the chances of that are close to nill now :(

If someone picks it up, you can expect to wait a long time again.

im hoping someone does pick it up... because even though that video looked awesome... what would amuse me even more is having to wait *even more* for duke nukem forever...

and i would *hate* it if whoever picked it up changed the title.... keep it as DNF :) throw us guys who were waiting since 97 for it a bone :D

QFT. Even if the graphics and physics aren't jaw-dropping as one would expect from a game that was being developed for 10+ years, it looks fun as hell... and that's what really matters =)

WE NEED MORE DUKE!! SOMEBODY PLEASE LEAK THIS GAME ASAP!!!! =/

I must have a playable copy! :(

I'd settle for just the first level and plenty of Dukematch to go around.

Why does this look any more "awesome" than any other FPS game that's out? Giant bad guy...shoot at with dual guns. I love FPS; that's really all I play. But I don't understand the clamoring for Duke Nukem. How's it really all that different from any other FPS?

I guess you're too young to remember Duke Nukem 3d... right? right???

Damn I think I'm the only one that did play the Duke Nukem series and never found it great.

It was fun back then, sure, but it was no different than any other FPS at the time. Doom, Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior and others I just can't remember... all used the same formula and were pretty much the same games but with different weapons and enemies. Only difference was Duke was sort of funny but even his jokes were just a loop that got old quick

I played DN 3D when it was still new and it never really wowed me in any way
