‘Compatible with Windows 7’ Logo Leaked

Spanish site MadboxPC has what appears to be an official “Compatible with Windows 7” logo. Either that or it’s a quickie PhotoShop pic designed to fool unwary news seekers like myself into posting a link to their site. Let’s hope MS does a better job of managing what’s really compatible this time. I’d hate to see a rehash of the whole “Windows Vista capable” debacle again.
 
As a local radio show host said, the Vista capable/ready logo is not really a problem. Just think of it in terms of sex. A sex capable woman just means any woman, but what you really want is a sex ready woman.
 
I'd say its pretty official... also I don't know that it is necessarily leaked, seeing as it is on Nvidia's Windows 7 page...

I don't care for the burgundy on blue color scheme. Feels a little dated.

Hey now, until we get proof of that it's up in the air... remember, they used a pirated copy of Sound Forge to make some of the media files in XP... they've been known to use Macs (OMFG!!! SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!) in creating videos... who knows. :D
 
Ugly as sin, I wonder if an intern made this logo?

God help Microsoft.... their quality of work just gets poor-er by the minute.
 
That logo seems really old looking .. like one from the last decade or something..
 
hmm, very windows XPish =P Could use a new logo, I mean that one is only what, 9+ years old now?
 
I always thought microsofts stamps of approval was junk. Nowdays, all monitors can work with any computer, so why do they get a stupid stamp? It is just to get the unsmart customers to buy random junk:mad:
 
Well, what do people expect? I mean really... Apple has had the same logo for close to 30 years now, at least Windows has altered the Windows flag as time has passed.

How many different ways can you simply show the logo and say "Compatible with Windows 7" knowing it'll be put on a sticker about 1" tall and 5/8" wide for placement on physical machines?
 
Err... make that Microsoft has changed the Windows flag... I'm old, sue me. ;)

Maybe thats the idea?
I mean MS really has surprised me by including XP emulation (including some sorta XP license) in windows 7. You almost never seen MS step back like that, they seem to like to shove things on consumers even if they don't want it.
Maybe they are trying to take advantage of the XP name and logo recognization?

If the worst you can complain about is the prettiness of their logo, I'd say they're doing quite well.
